These Are the 6 Reasons My Spring Beauty Wish List Will Make Me Broke

Even in the midst of transition-weather hell, we can still daydream about flowers and sunshine and, best of all, new beauty products! From bloom-inspired beauty to a new sun stick, contributing editor Sheryll Donerson dreams up her spring beauty wish list.

Winter has done a doozy on me, but I keep telling myself that every day I continue to suffer in this cold weather is one day closer to spring. I already got an email today from a brand advertising its new bathing suit line, so clearly everyone is ready for this winter nonsense to be over. I don’t blame them. I literally had the first day of spring marked on my calendar. I don’t play around over here.

And because I’m a beauty-obsessed editor (that’s part of the job, OK?), I’m already curating a wish list for my spring beauty routine overhaul. I hit up all of my favorite Korean e-retailers to see what’s new and what’s coming up in the pipeline. There’s a new launch like every freaking second in Korea so I may already be late for the train, but I’m making my list anyway!

1. Hera Rosy-Satin Cream

Spring = flowers so I have my eye on the Hera Rosy-Satin Cream. It was developed by the inspiration of global makeup artist Isabella Pain, who said that “rosy, satin skin” was the definition of good skin. I mean, who doesn’t want rosy satin skin?! It’s formulated with a patented blend of ingredients designed to increase cell turnover rate while giving the skin a healthy, rosy glow. I’m sold.  (And that's even before watching this video with Jun Ji-hyun.)

2. Innisfree Petal Blushers

I have no idea if the Innisfree Petal Blushers would even be pigmented enough for my skin, but I’m 10,000% putting them on my spring wish list. First of all, the packaging is freaking adorable! Each liquid blush looks like little mini nail polish bottles! And if my suspicions are true, the blushes look like they could possibly be a much cheaper dupe of my holy grail NARS liquid blushes.

3. A’Pieu True Matte Fluid Lipstick

I’m a liquid lipstick fanatic. I have at least 30 different kinds, if not more. I normally don’t do Korean lipsticks because the pigmentation and undertones of most aren’t the best for my skin, but listen: I saw pictures of the A’Pieu True Matte Fluid Lipsticks, and I NEED. There’s a dusty rose color with my name on it called Stay Rose, as well as a super gorgeous brownish-orange color called Burnt Orange. They look so pigmented and gorgeous and pretty.

4. Iope UV Shield Sun Stick

I’m always on the hunt for new sunscreen to try, and the Iope UV Shield Sun Stick looks super intriguing. It looks like a stick of deodorant, but it’s a sunscreen! I’m thinking that this would be great to toss in a gym bag for a quick reapplication after a workout, or to keep in your purse when you want to touch up on the go.

5. The new Innisfree Orchid line

Back when I lived in Korea, the Innisfree orchid line was one of my all-time favorites. The eye cream from that line are what dreams are made of.

While I was browsing recently, I saw that they’ve expanded the line to include a few new items, including a super luxe sounding cream sheet mask, a lightweight gel cream, and a sleeping pack. Cream sheet masks are my jam, a lightweight gel cream would be the perfect transition moisturizer for spring, and sleeping packs are like my favorite beauty buy. (Yeah, I LOVEEE sleeping packs). Check, check, check, all three are added to my wish list.

6. COSRX Low pH BHA Overnight Mask

And last, but certainly not least is the COSRX Low pH BHA Overnight Mask. COSRX is my favorite brand, and their regular BHA cream is the love of my life so naturally I almost died when I saw a post about this cream on Instagram. I don’t even really know what it does, but BHAs make my skin happy and COSRX makes my skin happy, so really, this is a match made in heaven. Just take my debit card already!
