About the product

What Is It:

Glycyrrhizawhat? Relax, you know this skin delicacy as licorice root, a potent antioxidant and skin brightener that powers the Eclado Glycyrrhiza Extract Ampoule. Licorice root tackles tough skin troubles such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation left over from healed acne and dark spots caused by sun damage. Licorice is also your first line of defense against environmental stressors like pollutants, and this ampoule contains an extraordinary 98% concentration. When used in combination with a sunscreen, licorice root just might be the ultimate in anti-aging protection. Free radical damage caused by harmful UV rays are neutralized before they get a chance to wreak havoc on your delicate skin.
Eclado Glycyrrhiza Extract Ampoule also contains Scutellaria baicalensis root extract, traditionally used in herbal medicine and known for its potent antioxidant content. Hyaluronic acid is also in the mix, which is the best instant hydrator and plumper around! Rounding out this scrumptious serum is natto gum, which is chock full of amino acids and vitamin E, another powerful antioxidant.
This impressive ampoule is a strong cocktail serving up skin that’s calm, purified, bright, and protected. (Bonus: It also balances oil production and calms angry breakouts.) So don’t worry about pronouncing it, just worry about getting it into your skincare lineup! Let Eclado Glycyrrhiza Extract Ampoule take care of the rest!
Free of preservatives, alcohol, surfactants, and artificial fragrances and colors.

Our insight:

Check out what Unboxing Beauty had to say about the Glycyrrhiza Extract Ampoule:

I noticed two things when I started adding this to fresh blemish marks ~ this ampoule does help lighten and/or lessen the appearance of fresh PIH.  I had a huge whopper of a blemish that was very purple-red and within a couple of weeks, it had lightened considerably.  It is currently a pinkish spot on my skin right now and will need more work to completely disappear.  The other benefit I noticed with this was its purifying and soothing benefits ~ it reduced the size of that blemish and looked like it really helps clean that skin quite a bit, reducing the pus and bacteria that comes with pimples as well as reducing the sebum.

How to use:

After cleansing and toning, in your essence/serum step, apply a drop or two on the face and pat in to enhance absorption. For a spot treatment, apply directly on dark spots or trouble areas.  A little goes a long way with this potent ampoule!

I can't wait to try this. The ingredient list is AMAZING. And it lighten dark spots, controls oil, AND calms breakouts? This ampoule was basically MADE for me.

I'd love to hear how this worked for you!

It's definitely a staple in my arsenal. I suffer from a lot of hyperpigmentation, both genetic and sun damage (from my sunscreen-lazy teens and 20s), so I keep niacinamide, licorice, arbutin, and vitamin C in my routine at all times. It's very liquid-y and not at all sticky so it layers very nicely. I can say that my hyperpigmentation has vastly improved over the last decade, so something is definitely working.
