About the product

What Is It:

Recharge dry, dehydrated skin overnight with the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask. This ingenious mask is formulated with highly-concentrated Hydro-Ionized Mineral Water to inject a boost of hydration to tired and overworked skin. This water is formulated with 6 hydrating minerals—sodium, potassium, calcium, zinc, manganese, and magnesium that are ionized and stabilized in water so that they can quickly deliver hydration to your skin. These minerals also give your skin Natural Moisturizing Factors (or NMF for short) that mimic your skin’s own moisture barrier, so you’re not only moisturizing your skin, your also retaining that moisture. The Laneige Water Sleeping Mask also features the brands patented Calming Sleepscent™, which is a blend of orange flower, rose, and sandalwood that not only relaxes your mind but your skin too. And if your skin is feeling extra fatigued, you’ll be happy to know that it also has antioxidant-rich apricot and evening primrose extracts that brighten and purifies your skin from external stressors. The final icing on the cake is the brand’s exclusive Moisture Wrap™ technology that forms an 8-hour time-release moisturizing barrier over the skin that locks in all of your previous skincare steps. Wow, we have no choice but to stan!

Brand info:

Since 1994, Laneige has long been an iconic Korean beauty brand. But it wasn’t until it launched its innovative mineral water technology — clinically proven to hydrate for 24 hours — that Laneige was poised for world domination. Arguably the industry leader in preaching the importance of skin hydration to the West, Laneige’s signature Water Bank line is now a staple in mass market stores across the U.S. In addition to a wide range of skincare products, Laneige also offers color cosmetics, including their cult favorite Two Tone Lip Bar.

I read that Laneige suggests applying this once or twice a week, but it feels so nice, I want to wear it every night during the summer. Is that bad?

A nice way to end the night after a tiring day! I usually slather this on after a thin layer of moisturizer. When I wash my face in the morning, my skin has become so smooth and plump. I have a sensitive combination skin, but it has not broken me out or caused any type of irritation.

Perfect mask for lazy nights when you can't be bothered to do more taditional mask. But still gives you plump baby skin next day

Hmm. I have a love-hate relationship with Laneige products. Some of them break me out, and others are just divine. This sleeping mask is kind of in the middle ground, cos I've had both great and terrible mornings after using it. With the right amount, it sinks into my skin and doesn't smear my pillow, giving me baby-smooth skin when I wake up in the morning.

I should probably dig that jar out of my overflowing shelf and use it again tonight.

This is a classic, fantastic product. It feels great going on, smells nice, absorbs quickly, and keeps my skin nicely moisturized until the morning. I'm not sure what's going on, but it's never too much nor not enough, regardless of whether I use it in the muggy DC summer or the chilly Boston winter. Some kind of skincare magic there!

If you're looking for good old hydration, this does the job really well! I wake up with very moisturized skin. Then I discovered Sulwhasoo's Overnight Revitalizing Mask and Radiance Mask which has more benefits and I find myself reaching out for those a lot more. But because this was the first sleeping mask I ever tried, it has a special place in my heart! :) I love it for it's lightness and think it's a perfect sleeping mask for Summer.

I think this sleeping mask is ok. Compared to the cosrx honey overnight mask, I much prefer that one. I think that one I can actually see the effects in the morning whereas this one I just feel the hydration. Lol if that makes sense.

I really like this product. It's not sticky and smell great but not too strong. And when I wake up the next morning, my skin is really soft and well hydrated!

got a sample before sometime and it really moisturized my skin overnight, i guess the effect would be even better along with the cleanser and facial cream but even so it really does it magic

It's a really good product but not as much as I was hoping. I have an atopic, really sensitive skin. It fit perfectly for my intolerant skin and the gel texture is really good for handling. This product was efficient to refresh, calm and moisture my skin in summer and half season but it wasn't enough for my skincare during winter. One other good point is the smell, it smells heavenly and doesn't last too strong after have been applyed. I will probably repurchase it for this summer.
