About the product

What Is It:

An editor favorite, this cleansing oil “grips” and removes oil-based makeup (even waterproof mascara), sunscreen, dirt, and excess sebum, all while maintaining the moisture balance of the skin. Made with 61.55% Jeju camellia seed oil and over 99% natural ingredients, this cleansing oil washes away cleanly, without the need for a follow-up foam cleanser, if you so wish. There are no synthetic oils like silicone or mineral oil in the cleansing oil, and it’s hypoallergenic, so it’s perfect for all skin types.

Our insight:

This is an editor-fave cleansing oil for its non-overly slick feel, super gentle makeup removal abilities, and refreshingly clean finish. It doesn’t have that suffocating oily feeling of other cleansing oils, and we love that it’s nourishing our skin with antioxidants to sweep away pollution particulates. While we like to follow up our cleansing oil with a foam cleanser, you don’t have to with this clean-rinsing cleansing oil, especially if you have dry skin. Read about our double cleanse techniques (including the “against the grain” method).

How to use:

Pump 2-3 times into dry palms and massage over your dry face. Add a little water to emulsify into a milky lotion as your massage. Rinse thoroughly with water.

I bought this along with few other products hosting a MIXED BEAUTY party .
many felt this was a very thick oil however when lathered with water it went smoothly so use little cause it goes long ways. once applied it didn't feel stripping to skin for me nor the other galls who tested it. most of us had combination to dry skin and 2 others had very oily skin. very light fragrance - typically i try to stray away from perfume fragrances however having it in a wash of product I find it to be okay because... I bought the whole size bottle and I used it up too quickly. I find this cleansing oil to be too liquid-y. I dont like liquids running down my arm. Effectiveness-wise, it definitely emulsifies and cleanses off my sunscreen well without leaving my face tight. I think there are other cleansing oils for the first step, that doesn't make a runny mess for me. I did not expect this to be just meh for me, as I find their whole line to be beautiful and works for my normal to dry skin. The next one I will... Read more

Using the sample, this cleanser had a nice scent that wasn't too strong, which is a bonus in my book. I have oily skin, so the thickness of this oil was a little much at first, but once I lathered it in with some water, it felt nice and gentle. After I rinsed it off and dried my face, I still felt moisturized and not stripped. I would definitely try again!

Review based on sample: Hello! I actually didn't mind this oil cleanser. Though the oil felt heavy during cleansing, it smelled nice and washed off fine in the shower. It dissolves makeup well especially it you don't wear heavy makeup.

This product seems to do it all! It removes my makeup super well (even waterproof) and it penetrates pores leaving my skin feeling fresh and still moisturized. I also love how contains over 99% natural ingredients!

I tried this as a sample. It came as part of a four step process. It does feel nice on the skin and is great at getting make-up off. However I’m not a huge fan of oil cleansers because I still feel like there is product on my face but I did follow up with the mild cleanser. Over all it’s a nice oil cleanser. Doesn’t feel thick on the skin, its hydrating and has a very mild light fragrance.

If you like your cleansing oil on the thicker side, this is for you. I usually use Sulwhasoo's Gentle Cleansing Oil or Kose's Softymo Deep Cleansing oil, both of which are thinner than SanDaWha's. This truly "grips" makeup when you're massaging it into your skin. It has a very slight drag to it and more heft initially, but it quickly thins out and turns milky when you add a few drops of water. It really does rinse away cleanly, but I'm old school and still follow up with a gentle foaming cleanser to make sure I've gotten everything removed. Very... Read more

Really nice and emollient cleansing oil. I  love the scent and the silky feel of it. Rinses off nice with no residue. Perfect for a first cleanse followed up with the SanDaWha Natural Mild Cleanser after.

I cannot get enough of SanDaWha in general, so it comes as no surprise to me that this has come to be my favorite oil cleanser. The fragrance of the product kicks off my evening self-care with a little aromatherapy. The texture of this product is thicker than other oil cleansers I've tried, but it feels DELICIOUS on my face, giving aspects of hydration and brightening while it sweeps my day (makeup and sunscreen) away. I would never hesitate to recommend any and all SanDaWha products - clients or strangers! 10/10 !!

I love the way this feels and smells. I have never tried a cleansing oil before and this one is so nice and my face felt so smooth afterwards. You can also use it as a makeup remover which is great instead of using something else. Two things in one.
