About the product

What Is It:

Consider this the water cream version of SanDaWha’s must-have Extra Virgin Camellia Face Oil. Antioxidant powerhouse Camellia japonica flower extract is the first ingredient in this Water Cream, but it also contains over 30 botanical extracts and oils, including mango seed butter, olive fruit oil, and grape skin extract, to fight free radicals and protect skin from environmental pollution. Proven skincare ingredients like niacinamide, squalane, and hyaluronic acid prevent melanin buildup and draws moisture to skin for a healthy, radiant glow. And like its name implies, the cream melts like water on your skin, leaving it plumped, hydrated, and without a sticky after feel.

Our insight:

This heavenly (and naturally) scented cream at first has the texture of softened butter but it immediately melts into an almost liquid texture upon contact with the skin. Take a moment to breathe in the scent before applying for a mini aromatherapy session. And remember, with this rich yet lightweight cream, a little goes a long way.

How to use:

Using the included spatula, scoop a dime size amount onto fingertips. Warm product between fingertips and apply on face and neck, gently patting in to increase absorption. Use morning and night or as needed.

This is a very hydrating moisturizer that smooths out evenly and surprisingly feels light on the face. It looks thick when I swatched it on the back of my hand but actually feels like water on the skin hence its name. With my very dry skin, I observed that the hydration lasted the whole day and I didn't feel the need to reapply. It has worked for my skin type but I feel like people with oily skin will benefit from this more because it doesn't leave any oily residue at all. Hydration sinks beautifully right into the skin. It... Read more

This is a superstar moisturizer in my book. I am extremely dry, so I am always on the lookout for ultra-rich, hydrating, emollient based moisturizers. This one from San Dah Wah is so decadent, yet absorbs easily and without residue. The antioxidants, coupled with ingredients such as squalane and mango seed butter, protect and nourish your skin and leave it feeling plump and supple. I recommend pairing it with the San Da Wha cleansing oil for a truly spa-like experience!

I tried this water cream today after my routine double cleanse. First I want to say that this works very well in combination with it's family of products. The San Da Wa oil cleanser, The water based natural gentle cleanser, the liposome skin softener- these are the previous steps to this cream. Ideally I do recommend trying them together even if only for the experience. This cream in particular has a very light but distinctly floral scent. If you are loving florals this ones for you. It is strong enough to smell upon sniffing the palms of the hands ,... Read more

When it comes to hydrating creams I would only use it during my night routine due to my oily combination skin. I was able to sample for about a week and at first I wasn't a fan mainly because it made my oily areas even more oilier the next day. I decided to revisit it and use primarily in my normal areas and use half the recommended amount for my T-zone and I was able to benefit from this hydrating cream so much more! In my normal areas it absorbed nicely leaving my skin soft, plump and hydrated... Read more

Using the sample, this cream was the perfect amount of hydration while not being too heavy. I love water creams and having oily skin, I think it's important to moisturize without feeling weighed down. This cream did that for me and helped keep my skin glowing and healthy. I would definitely try it again!

Thank you BeautyTap for carrying this again! Ive been waiting for this. It is getting cold in NY and my skin is becoming needier. Every winter, I alternate between this Sandawha Ultra Rich Cream and the Earth's Recipe Cream.
Before the cream layer, I use a toner, essence, mist, serums, mist again and then a cream and finally a sleeping mask. For the toner, I use the Sandawha deep rich toner during the day and Earths Recipe Toner at night. I've recently incorporated 2 different bi-phase mists. Then? I follow with my Sulwhasoo sleeping mask. I will... Read more

Oh, Milly, I adore the Sulwhasoo Radiance Energy Mask (green and white jar) too! I hope the Beautytap team brings it back. It makes my skin brighter and more even in the morning. You and I share so many loves, we could be skin twins! If I'm ever in NY and run out of products, I'll be knocking on your door. LOL!

Yep! I have everything you need here! Lol! :)

Btw, do you prefer the old Sandawha packaging or the new one?

I hope the jar is glass and not plastic. The previous packaging also had a silver cover, which I disjt like bcuz Id could see my oily fingerprints on it. As well, this is now 55g. It was previously 60g.

The new packaging seems more uniform (same style jars for different lines) but I actually liked the original pink jar and silver lid. I know I have an empty one in my collection because I like shiny things. LOL! I"m a complete sucker for packaging, which is why I bought the pink chrome limited edition FCAS from Sulwhasoo. I also love the contrast between the porcelain bottles and the shiny lids. They could sell me air in a pretty bottle, and I wouldn't complain. Ha ha!

I highly recommend this lightweight moisturizer for someone with combination or oily skin type that’s looking for anti-aging or brightening benefits. It has a really nice floral rose scent which is not overpowering at all. My skin looked hydrated with a soft glow.

This water cream is light and a very good night moisturizer without having your skin stick to your pillow. Great hydration without clogging your pores.

Great night moisturizer. Absorbs well and brings back the hydration I was lacking.

This water cream is a perfect nighttime moisturizer because it very soothing and emollient, but not so rich that you stick to your pillow case. This is a great option for anyone with dry skin as or even just as a before-bed touch up, to help relieve those pesky patchy areas.
