Want to know the second best part about spring? DAYLIGHT. God, it feels like I’ve been living in a cave of doom and then daylight savings time came and freed us from the eternal darkness.
And wanna know THE best part about spring? All of the new beauty releases! Spring marks all the fun, spring-y type products, new ingredients, and pretty pastel packaging. Let’s talk about what’s on my radar. 👀

Innisfree Cherry Blossom line
Cherry blossoms are a huge, important part of spring over on the Korean peninsula. Trust me, after a looooooong winter, the first sign of those beautiful white and pink flowers is like … a religious experience. Innisfree has captured a bit of that magical spring feeling with their Cherry Blossom line. Included in the line is the Cherry Blossom Lotion, Skin (aka hydrating toner), and the Jelly Cream, a lightweight moisturizer perfect for warmer weather.
But cherry blossom isn’t just a pretty flower; it also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It helps heal and reduce PIH (yesss!) and evens skin tone. The jelly cream creates a natural barrier between your skin and the environment, so all of the dust and pollution has to work a tad bit harder to penetrate the skin. Layering it with the creamy lotion is a spring dream!
Missha Time Revolution Artemisia Treatment Essence
One of the biggest ingredient trends coming out of Korea is artemisia. What is artemisia? Well, artemisia, also known as mugwort, is a powerhouse antioxidant ingredient that just so happens to be antibacterial, too. Like my dear friends cica and centella, mugwort is another ingredient that is used to calm and hydrate irritated skin.
The new Missha essence is a dupe of the extremely popular Vely Vely Artemisa Essence that is literally flying off of the shelves in the Incheon Duty Free stores. The Missha essence boasts an ingredient list of — wait for it — 100% artemisia annua extract. What does this mean? Well, it means that Missha has used a unique double fermentation process to extract 100% of the available artemisia extract into its product. And don’t worry, despite the ingredient list saying otherwise, there are some stabilizers and preservatives to keep your product from growing bacteria. If you have sensitive and/or acne-prone skin, this is gonna be the spring product launch to add to your cart.
Missha Bee Pollen line
Pollen and I are not friends. Last spring, ya girl was nearly taken out by spring and all of her pollen shenanigans. Benadryl and I were so close, we nearly got married. But thankfully, Missha’s Bee Pollen line won’t make your nose and eyes a watery, runny mess. It’ll just make your skin glow! Hooray!

Missha’s new bee pollen line includes:
Bee Pollen Renew Sheet Mask
Bee Pollen Renew Treatment
Bee Pollen Renew Cream
Bee Pollen Renew Ampouler

This isn’t the first time a brand has utilized the power of bees in their skincare — we have honey, royal jelly, propolis, and even bee venom extract in skincare products, but bee pollen is a new one! Bee pollen is said to be one of the superfoods on the Earth, and Missha has used it in high concentrations. How high? Well, the sheet mask alone has 43% bee pollen, and it’s the first ingredient in all of the products in the line. Let’s hear it for the bees!
