If You’re New to Whamisa, These Are My Picks for Their Top 3

If you’ve been curious about Whamisa, the truly green K-beauty brand, why not start with the cult faves? Here, the best Whamisa products to get now.

Do you love clean, green beauty? Or maybe you just want to focus on skincare with minimal ingredients? Or maybe you just want to try something new?

Well, you’re in luck because Beautytap has started carrying cult classic K-beauty brand Whamisa! *cue Jamaican airhorns*

The name Whamisa comes from the Korean word Wha (flower), Mi (beauty), and Sa (the number 4), which refers to the basis of all of their products: roots, seeds, flowers, and fruits. Using these parts of the various good-for-your-skin plants, Whamisa formulates its products with all-natural plant extracts (and not the dumb “all-natural” stuff you see people throwing around) and then uses a fermentation process to help your skin absorb all of those yummy nutrients so you can look dewy and hydrated like the badass you are.

So, I’ve used Whamisa products since they first came on the (U.S.) scene in 2015. Let’s talk about my favorites!

The Whamisa Organic Flowers Deep Rich Toner

This is one of the first products I used from Whamisa, and I’d easily put it into the top three favorite toners of my entire life (which is saying something!). This luxuriously rich toner feels like a serum but is lightweight enough to apply using a cotton pad (I use my hands and tap in with my fingers). It’s made with organic aloe leaf extract to hydrate your skin and heal any bad stuff, licorice root extract to brighten, and avocado and argan oils to nourish your skin. Like. It’s literally the perfect toner.

The Whamisa Organic Flowers Facial Oil

This oil is one of the few oil blends out there that doesn’t use coconut oil as a base. WHY DO BRANDS DO THIS? Anyway, this oil is a lush blend of organic argan, olive, hazelnut, jojoba, camellia, carrot seed, and evening primrose oils (yes, all of these oils), and not only that, this oil is also fermented! We love it! It absorbs into the skin like a dream and gives you such a gorgeous glow. I’m a big fan of using this oil as the final step of my nighttime routine or dropping a tiny bit into my moisturizer in the morning for a glowy base for my makeup.

The Whamisa Organic Flowers Eye Essence

For the record, I’m not a big eye cream person. I have tons of them and can never remember to use them. BUT. This eye essence (essence, because it’s very lightweight) is a BOP. It’s probably one of the only eye products I’ve ever completely finished.

It’s made with 95% organic ingredients, including a base of aloe leaf extract to soothe tired eyes, camellia seed oil to protect your skin from drying out, as well as shea and murumuru butter that gives this essence a buttery, luxurious feel without the heaviness. If you’re in the market for a new eye product, let me tell you that this one is the bomb dot com.
