Let’s start with a healthy dose of LOL. Some of our fave New Year resolution memes to inspire you — or at least make you giggle.
Can you believe that we are about to enter a new decade? I don’t know about you, but this decade was a wild ride for me. I started 2010 in L.A., broke, depressed and an emotional eating mess. Then I quit my job, sold all of my stuff, backpacked through Europe for two months, then moved to Korea, started blogging about K-beauty, had a very successful K-beauty blog, lived in Vietnam and Thailand, and traveled all over Asia. And now I’m closing out the decade with a new (to me) dream car, I work from home and make good $$$, I go to therapy regularly, I have an amazing group of friends, and my relationship with my partner is stronger.
All of this is to say: DON’T GIVE UP. Like, seriously, 23-year-old, living-in-L.A. me could not (and did not) possibly imagine that this would be my life now. As we enter a new year and a new decade, it’s important to me to set intentions with myself. I don’t like “resolutions” as I’m a more go-with-the-flow type of person, and I don’t like being tied down to specific goals, but I do like to think about the various ways I can improve my life. But hey, if you’re a resolution person, then don’t let me kill your shine, honey!
