Has your hair has lost its luster? Do your locks look more haggard than healthy? If so, Grow Gorgeous has the solution. Their vegan-friendly, gluten-free hair care products are made by and for hair experts. You won’t find sulfates, parabens, silicones, mineral oil, or phthalates in them, and most are safe for color-treated hair.

Say goodbye to damaged hair with Grow Gorgeous

Grow Gorgeous offers six healthy-hair product lines, focusing on everything from reducing frizz to growing thicker, fuller hair. I spent most of the summer either flat ironing or braiding mine, so hair treatments are first and foremost on my mind. I test-drove their Daily Density Serum along with items from the Intense, Repair, and Balance lines to see if they could undo some tension- and heat-related damage while also giving my scalp something to sing about.

Spoiler alert: they did.

Daily Density

Grow Gorgeous Daily Density Serum ($35)

Even though I have a dedicated hair care routine, I must admit that I’ve never used a hair serum. The Grow Gorgeous Daily Density Serum touts impressive results in independent trials, and I want to count myself among the “90% of women [who felt] their hair [looked] fuller” after using the product for a full 12 weeks. I have a lot of hair, but it’s very fine, so anything that adds volume or makes it look thicker makes me happy.

The caffeine-infused, amber liquid feels watery, not oily, and absorbs into damp hair without leaving any residue behind. Using the recommended 20 drops sounded excessive, but the dropper made it easy to place the serum in targeted areas, and the bottle should last a full three months on my every-other-day schedule. After gently massing this into the scalp, there was no noticeable tingling or stinging, and my hair looked equally good when air- or blow-dried. It’s too early to tell if my hair is truly getting thicker, but it certainly looked healthier and more voluminous when blow-dried without the aid of any additional products.

Intense Thickening Hair and Scalp Mask

Grow Gorgeous Intense Thickening Hair and Scalp Mask

Once a week, I use a hair mask and a scalp scrub in an attempt to undo weekly damage. Since the Grow Gorgeous Intense Thickening Hair and Scalp Mask aims to improve hair health and growth by making it look thicker, fuller, and more glossy, I grabbed the copper-topped jar without hesitation.

The rich creamy formula contains pea peptides, shea butter, and coconut oil to condition and smoothes the cuticle without weighing down the hair. Hyaluronic acid is another starring ingredient – a perennial skincare favorite – for moisture; oat lipids to protect the scalp, and caffeine to stimulate the roots. This subs in for conditioner, so I massaged it into my freshly washed hair, enjoyed a cup of coffee, then rinsed it away. I love this double-duty product because it functions like a detangler as well, and my hair had crazy volume after blowing it out.

Repair Heat Protection Leave-In Oil

Given I have long hair that extends below my bra strap, tangles and split ends are the norm. Heat tools, like blow dryers and flat irons, can exacerbate breakage, and I use various oils to prevent it.

Unfortunately, some of them discolor my bleached blonde locks, so the Repair Heat Protection Leave-In Oil is a welcome replacement. This lightweight, dry oil absorbs quickly and is surprisingly concentrated. Seriously, you only need a few drops. If you prefer air-drying your hair, the oil also fights frizz and keeps unwanted poofy-ness at bay.

Balance Fibre-Sealing Split Ends Treatment

Repairing split ends doesn’t happen overnight, but I’m game to add anything to my routine that at least minimizes their appearance and abundance. The Fibre-Sealing Split Ends Treatment is part of the Grow Gorgeous “Balance” line and is suitable for all hair types.

You can use this before blow drying or air drying, so I applied it on my towel-dried locks and gave them a heat styling break. It has a lightweight lotion consistency that’s easy to work into the hair, beginning mid-length and working down to the ends. It contains both oat lipids and black oak seed extract, which protect the scalp and smooth and seal the cuticle, making the hair smoother, shinier, and silky soft even when air-dried.
