Fall is here and so are its stunning new nail shades.

If leaves crackling, pumpkin spice lattes, and deep colors are your thing — congratulations because fall has finally arrived. And, just in time, given an at-home manicure is the idyllic way to get creative and add a high dose of inspiration while social distancing.

So, pop on your chunky sweater and prepare to cozy up with the season’s prettiest nail colors. Beautytap spoke with Donna Charloff, the product development and service director of nail brand MiniLuxe, to find out what people can expect to see popping up on the prettiest nails this fall.

The new collections coming out for MiniLuxe, Deborah Lippmann, and Nails.Inc is all super deep, brooding, and earthy. Honestly, you’re going to want to grab a cider before you’re even finished reading this article.

“As always, fashion is the inspiration for our colors,” says Charloff. “The process starts with looking at Pantone fashion trends as soon as they are released.”

Charloff explained that these colors are typically released around the same time as New York Fashion Week. From there, she works to narrow down colors that correspond with fall fashions and trends. “We also want colors that make sense as a collection, so that when our clients are looking at it, it tells a story,” says Charloff.

The story this year is encouraging and presses people to push for positive change. With polish names like “Create Change,” “Take Action” and “Just Listen,” it’s clear that the colors are meant to inspire. Charloff says her favorites are “from opposite ends of the spectrum,” by which she means she’s drawn to the colors light enough to easily transition seasonally, as well as the deep, dark red found in “Take Action.”

MiniLuxe isn’t the only line that’s leaned into deep, brooding colors. Deborah Lippmann has launched two limited-edition fall collections, including “The Girl Who Fell to Earth,” which features a sparkly olive green, a camel beige, a deep maroon, and a dark taupe. The colors, as well as the accompanying photos, are super earthy and make you want to strike out on a hike almost as much as you want to paint your nails.

Finally, Nails Inc. also released a stunning dark collection called “I Like You A Choco-Lot.” It features deep, rich browns, a sparkling bronze, and a deep nude that will have you feeling almost ready for winter.
