Hollywood’s brightest stars dazzled in classic glamour and flawless allure.

Historical, lively, and elegant—this year’s awards season officially launched in style. En vogue was matching makeup tones with couture gowns. Wavy locks, chic bobs, and sleek ponytails were on trend. Savvy skincare inspired no makeup makeup. Dynamic brows, infinite lashes, and lovely lips complemented celebrity smiles. Read on for stunning looks from the 2024 Golden Globes and the products that made them possible.

A Glorious Moment

Monumental in her win and majestic persona, Lily Gladstone is the first Indigenous woman to win a Golden Globe for best actress. In Blackfeet, Lily’s name is Eagle Woman and her words soared from the stage: "Thank you to all of you, and this is for every little res kid, every little urban kid, every little Native kid out there who has a dream, who is seeing themselves represented and our stories told by ourselves in our own words, with tremendous allies and tremendous trust with and from each other.”

Lily was a vision in Valentino, Chanel foundation, and jewelry from Bulgari and Lenise Omeasoo, an Indigenous designer. Celebrity hairstylist Marc Mena prepped her raven locks with Better Not Younger’s Full Transparency Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner, Lift Me Up Hair Thickener, No Remorse Heat Protection & Taming Spray, and Wake Up Call High-Hold Thickening Hairspray.“I’m very honored to be a part of something so historical—not just for Hollywood, but for this nation,” says Mena. “Seeing someone like Lily even being nominated is very, very powerful and there’s so much to be said about what this moment means to Indigenous people, to this nation, and to the world.”

Tremendous Tresses

High shine, straight lines, side sweeps, updos, braids, and accessories…Hollywood hair was on parade.

Florence Pugh rocked a modern pompadour. Ayo Edebiri and America Ferrera brought verve with bobs. Dua Lipa’s mane was ravishing in a rosy magenta hue. Big, long curls were gorgeous on Michelle Yeoh, Margot Robbie, and Angela Bassett. Fantasia Barrino’s crop cut was timeless. Bangs on Zuri Hall and Taylor Swift were ultrahip. Helen Mirren, Elle Fanning, and Kristen Wiig donned sophisticated parts and low chignons. Smart ponytails on Natalie Portman, Rachel Brosnahan, and Julienne Moore were exquisite.

Kate Beckinsale

And bows are back, cue Kate Beckinsale who was styled with UNITE Hair. “My inspiration for Kate’s look was a more polished and softer look of her signature ponytail,” says celebrity hairstylist Scott King who created the look. “Kate loves bows and she usually wears a very large one day to day. We wanted to elevate her everyday look so I added a bunch of tiny black bows on her ponytail to add more flair.”

Pro-Loved Haircare Products

Celebrity colorists and stylists used OLAPLEX to embellish hair colors and styles for Margot Robbie, Jennifer Lopez, Emma Stone, Riley Keough, Carey Mulligan, and Julianne Moore.

Tracey Cunningham worked with Jennifer Lopez for her “Golden Bronde” color. “There are times when Jennifer is blonder, but not right now. She likes her hair brown, so we have ribbons of blonde throughout,” says Tracey. “If you’re doing it at home, put on your base, and then use OLAPLEX Nº.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment and OLAPLEX No.3 Hair Perfector at the same time. They’re both treatments—one is a cream, and the other one is a liquid. After putting color on your roots, you can spray OLAPLEX Nº.0 onto the ends, and then put Nº.3 all over the ends.”

Jacob Schwartz helped give Margot Robbie her glowing golden look. “I coined the term ‘spun with gold’ because the hair looks lit from within, where it's all cohesively lighter. There are still highlights and there’s still dimension, but it looks more effortless.“The OLAPLEX Nº.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and Nº.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner are important. And then, if you want a good hydrating mask, I would say the OLAPLEX Nº.8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask, which you could use once a week or twice a month,” says Schwartz. “I love the OLAPLEX Nº.6 Bond Smoother, and that's a leave-in treatment. You can apply that on damp hair and let it air or blow dry. It's one of my go-to products because you can go either way with it.”

Skincare Basics

Natural beauty was perfection and clear complexions enlivened the red carpet—a clean base is everything for luminous skin.

Celebrity makeup artist Molly R. Stern used Le Domaine Skincare (The Serum and The Fluid Cream) on Greta Gerwig. “I wanted Greta’s look to feel super modern with quenched, radiant skin,” says Stern. “Greta has such a naturally cool beauty that I didn’t want anything to distract from that. I spent a lot of time stimulating her skin, getting her natural blood flowing to the surface. In custom Fendi and the exquisite makeup products from Pat McGrath and Le Domaine Skincare, Greta left looking like the most chic, elegant, and modern Barbie that there ever was.”

Solawave’s 4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Skincare Wand (smoothes fine lines, boosts glow, and decreases puffiness) and Renew Complex and Activating Serum (with plumping hyaluronic acid and hydrating aloe vera for glowing skin) were applied on Charles Melton by celebrity groomer Candice Birns.

Highly esteemed The Method Augustinus Bader was used on charming lovebirds Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, Lily Gladstone, Jonathan Bailey, Quinta Brunson, and Julia Garner by celebrity facialist Lord Gavin McLeod Valentine. “Rooted in the principles of tapping into biological wisdom to enhance cellular communication, The Method brings the best of Augustinus Bader’s range to work synergistically with the skin to bring vibrancy, hydration and enhance tone,” says Valentine. “Through techniques of fascia manipulation, rhythmic massage and radiofrequency, we trigger a reaction that amplifies the connectivity of the skin tissue and accelerates the function of the products, providing results that are visible instantly rather than over time.”

James Marsden

Lovely La Mer skincare prepped two nominees. Makeup artist Naoko Scintu gave Greta Lee (a knockout in her champagne Loewe gown) extra radiance with The Moisturizing Soft Cream, The Eye Concentrate, The Treatment Lotion, and The Hydrating Illuminator. James Marsden was groomed by hairstylist Dave Stanwell with The Cleansing Foam, The Eye Concentrate, The Concentrate, and the soon-to-be-released La Mer The Moisturizing Fresh Cream, launching on February 15th. Stanwell says La Mer’s latest creation is a game changer because of its hydrating and anti-aging benefits but lightweight texture for a natural, healthy looking finish.  Cillian Murphy was gleaming thanks to skincare prep by celebrity hairstylist and groomer Gareth Bromell Cillian Murphy was gleaming thanks to skincare prep by celebrity hairstylist and groomer Gareth Bromell

Cillian Murphy was gleaming thanks to skincare prep by celebrity hairstylist and groomer Gareth Bromell and CurrentBody Skin’s award-winning and anti-aging LED Light Therapy Face Mask. “Made with 132 LED bulbs that deliver two clinically proven wavelengths to stimulate collagen and elastin in just 10 minutes, this treatment is 31 percent more powerful than any other LED face mask on the market,” says Bromell. “I was very happy to see it included in the nominees goody bags—a superb addition to anyone’s beauty regimen.”

On par with fresh faced visages, Maya Rudolph, Minnie Driver, Cailee Spaeny, and Kaitlyn Dever all looked resplendent after Joanna Czech’s custom LYMA Laser facial. “The LYMA Laser stands apart in its class with the ability to give an instant radiance to the skin while simultaneously elevating cellular energy levels, increasing collagen production for a more rejuvenated and revitalized complexion,” says Czech. Bonus: LYMA Laser is suitable for all skin types and can be used at home to glean a lustrous glow.

Lashes, Brows, and Eyes…Oh My

A harmonious blend of colors made this Golden Globes particularly eye-catching. From her eyeshadow and floral blossom ensemble to a romantic blush of love, J.Lo was pretty in pink. Issa Rae’s glittering lids matched her magnificent gown and shimmering personality. Oprah’s purple Louis Vuitton dress mirrored her violet eye makeup. Brows were bold with shades similar to hair hues (Jennifer Aniston in her new do) and shapes were sculpted to make a statement (à la Selena Gomez).

Natasha Lyonne

Lashes were luscious with Lashify. Makeup artist James Kaliardos gave Natasha Lyonne a dramatic look. “Inspired by 60s Hollywood glamour I created a tone-on-tone color scheme for Natasha’s makeup punctuated by extended eyeliner and a graphic lash look,” says Kaliardos. “I built up Natasha’s lashes using Lashify Gossamers placed from inner to outer corner for a starlike, popping, lash look. I prepped her lashes with Lashify Pre-Cleanse Cleansing Water followed by a gentle application of Lashify Bondage. With the patented Lashify Fuse Control Wand I applied each light-as-a-feather lash to the underside of Natasha’s lash bed. Once the Lashify Gossamers were all applied I fused them in place and finished with a light coat of Water Poof Sealer to remove any stickiness.”

Rachel Brosnahan’s sparkling eyes were framed using Lashify. Makeup artist Lisa Aharon said “To elongate her eye shape, I gave Rachel’s lashes a little sweep up to the outer corners. I used Lashify Lashmap B8, B8, B10, B10 and B12 from the inner to outer corner of her eye.”

Makeup artist Beau Nelson shaped Sarah Rafferty’s lashes: “For Sarah's lashes, I wanted natural (adjacent) volume and a tiny bit of extra length, so I reached for my favorite style in the Lashify library, the Plushy,” he says.

Carey Mulligan’s delicate beauty was enhanced with a multidimensional eye and layered blush look from makeup artist Nina Park and ADDICTION TOKYO. Nina used a combination of matte and cream eyeshadows to create maximum dimension. She sculpted around the eyes layering The Eyeshadow in Sandy Topaz, Thousand Feathers, and Sakura Petal. To define the eyes, Nina used The Color Liquid Eyeliner to tight-line the upper lash line, then finished with two coats of The Mascara Intense Lashes.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph

Gracefully Tasteful Lips

Nude-hued lipsticks were a popular choice; Issa Rae wore Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Yes Honey and Molly R. Stern glammed up Gerwig in a trio of Pat McGrath Labs lip products, including the PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Nude Venus, the SatinAllure Lipstick in Venusian Peach, and the MatteTrance Lipstick in Christy. Sweet pink puckers were in ultimate Barbie fashion and Margot Robbie charmed in CHANEL 31 Le Rouge Satin Lipstick in Rouge Beige. Da’Vine Joy Randolph glistened in Lancôme’s L'Absolu Rouge Intimatte Got Me Bushing. A few crimson reds ignited the night—we are looking at you Rachel Broshahan in Stila Cosmetics’ Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso. And Hannah Waddingham’s glossy kisser scored big with ICONIC London Plumping Gloss in Peek A Boo.

Emma Stone

In Love with Life

“Bella falls in love with life itself rather than a person, and she accepts the good and the bad in equal measure. And that really made me look at life differently. And that all of it counts and all of it is important,” said Emma Stone in her acceptance speech for best film actress in a comedy or musical award.
