Celebrity darlings impressed with stunning skin, makeup, and hair

The 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards was star-studded with subtle glamour and an aura of joy. Barely there makeup illuminated the night, rosy hues were a highlight, chic bobs and romantic waves framed talented, happy faces.

Actors honored one another and gushed sentiments of gratitude throughout the night. As Ayo Edebiri said in her acceptance speech as Best Actress in a Comedy Series for The Bear: “I’m so grateful. I'm really, really, really just grateful and I'm looking out at this room of people whose work moves me and motivates me and makes me feel and laugh, and I'm just so grateful to be here.”

And we are grateful for these celebrity inspirations…

Award-Worthy Hair

Side parts or middle, flipped or suave, bob cuts were en vogue on The Color Purple's Taraji P. Henson, Penelope Cruz, nominated for her role in Ferrari, Ted Lasso’s Hannah Waddington, and Carey Mulligan, nominated for her performance in Maestro. The timeless a-line is here to stay.

Shiny long ponytails adorned Ali Wong, award winner for her lead role in Beef and Modern Family mama Julie Bowen. Braids were beautiful on Laverne Cox and The Color Purple cast nominee Halle Bailey, exquisite in an updo and new mom glow. Issa Rae (American Fiction), Juno Temple (Ted Lasso) styled by Mara Roszak, Ciara (The Color Purple), and Zuri Hall all rocked lavish curls.

Past Lives actress and The Morning Show cast nominee Greta Lee was simply elegant. She displayed expressive sign language skills alongside Troy Kotsur, CODA’s leading man and first male deaf actor to win an Oscar. Celebrity hairstylist Jenny Cho styled Lee with Augustinus Bader shampoo, conditioner, scalp treatment, and hair oil. “Greta’s look is a combination of minimal and clean but not too serious,” said Cho.

Oppenheimer producer and award winner Emma Thomas also donned lovely locks thanks to Augustinus Bader and celebrity hairstylist Alyx Liu. “Emma and I wanted to do soft brushed out waves that were effortless,” says Liu.

Bombshell waves cascaded on Ayo Edebiri, Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson, Selena Gomez (cast nominee for Only Murders in the Building), The Morning Show maven Reese Witherspoon, and Oppenheimer leading lady Emily Blunt (whose charm shared the stage with Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway in homage to The Devil Wears Prada).

Blunt was prepped by Laina Reeves and Fekkai’s Super Strength + Protein Powerbond Mist, Full Blown Volume Dry Texturizing Spray, Clean Stylers Flexi-Hold Hairspray, and Brilliant Gloss Glass Hair Ant-Frizz Oil Serum. “We wanted the hair to look really modern but classical; we automatically started calling the look a modern Hollywood classic,” says Reeves. “We also wanted the hair to look super shiny and healthy. Fekkai was a great partner for what we were looking to achieve.”

More Fekkai favorites (including Clean Stylers Root Lift Volume Spray and Brilliant Gloss Multi-Tasker) completed Witherspoon’s strands, coiffed by Lona Vigi. And Marissa Marino gave Selena Gomez alluring tresses with a bevy of Fekkai, starting with Super Strength + Shampoo and Conditioner. “Our inspo was 90’s Cindy Crawford vibe,” says Marino.

Luminous Skin

Award winner for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in Killers of the Flower Moon, Lily Gladstone continues to make history as the first-ever Indigenous actor to win a SAG Award in this category. Her graceful personality, illuminating words, and authentic beauty enchant.

“We bring empathy into a work that so much needs it,” said Gladstone in her acceptance speech. “It's so easy to distance ourselves. It's so easy to close off, to stop feeling, and we all bravely keep feeling, and that humanizes people. That brings people out of the shadows; it brings visibility.” She added, “Keep speaking your truths and keep speaking up for each other.”

Celebrity makeup artist Fiona Stiles enhanced Gladstone’s natural radiance with CurrentBody Skin Face & Neck Kit—a gentle yet powerful LED treatment. “The CurrentBody Skin Face & Neck Kit is a great first step in skin prep,” says Stiles. “Just 10 minutes increases circulation, leaving the skin plump and glowing and perfect for makeup application.”

Gladstone was also pampered by celebrity facialist Lord Gavin McLeod Valentine using The Method by Augustinus Bader—as were Emily Blunt, Molly Gordon, Julie Bowen, and Felicity Blunt. “The Method brings the best of Augustinus Bader’s range to work synergistically with the skin to bring vibrancy, hydration and enhance tone,” says Valentine.

Eyes Aglow

Lashes were lush, brows were bold, eyeshadows captivated—from cat eyes and smokey lids to bright colors and subtle shimmers.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph, award winner for her role in the The Holdovers, was a vision in Lancôme Idôle Liner in Glossy Black, Hypnôse 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Bronze Absolu, and Hypnose Drama Mascara in Excessive Black, courtesy of makeup artist Sheika Daly.

Always on par with complimentary tones, Jessica Chastain glimmered in Diorshow 5 Couleur Couture Eyeshadow Palette in Nude Dress. Juno Temple wore a delightful retro blue hue. Oprah’s eyes reflected her regal purple gown. Rosy tints accentuated Barbie star America Ferrera and American Fiction powerhouse Tracy Ellis Ross. And The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Rachel Brosnahan was gilded in Dior gold.

Radiant Makeup

No makeup makeup was a crowd pleaser; and Brie Larson was an absolute knock out. The Lessons in Chemistry nominee’s ravishing look was created by stylist Nina Park using Guerlain skincare and makeup—Terracotta foundation, glow powder, and blush; a blend of eye shadows from the Imperial Moon and Wild Nudes collections; Noir G mascara; lips were kissed with Rouge G in Satin Pomegranate Red and recently launched KissKiss Bee Glow Oil in Honey Glow.

“My inspiration was to create a look that balanced radiance and warmth, with bronzed skin and a coral lip,” says Park. “It was all about achieving an effortless yet vibrant pop of color to the lips and cheeks to complement the coral Versace dress.”

The Gilded Age luminary and nominee Audra McDonald worked with celebrity makeup artist Shannon Pezzetta who flawlessly used ILIA Limitless Lengths Mascara in After Midnight, The Necessary Eyeshadow Palette in Cool Nude, Balmy Tint Hydrating Lip Balm in Heartbeats, and the brand’s new Skin Rewind Complexion Sticks.

“I was inspired by Audra McDonald's timeless beauty, so I set out to design a look that respects her natural grace but also throws in a bit of spice,” says Pizetta. “Starting with a fresh, glowing complexion, I jazzed things up with a smoldering cool nude smokey eye to add some depth and allure. And to top it off, a sheer berry lip for that extra pop of color. It's all about capturing that laid-back elegance, channeling Audra's own timeless charm and confidence.”

A Rainbow of Lips

Delicate nudes and soft pinks triumphed, bold reds made a statement, and glossy pouts glistened.

SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher and Naomi Watts wowed in crimson. Barbie star Margot Robbie was dolled up with a pink pucker in two Chanel shades: Rouge Coco Baume in My Rose and Flirty Coral. Also in Chanel, Ayo Edibiri was all smiles in 31 Le Rouge Satin Lipstick in Rouge 2.55. Emma Stone, nominee for Poor Things, was resplendent in Charlotte Tilbury’s iconic K.I.S.S.I.N.G. “Rose to Fame”. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel manager Alex Borstein was a total boss in high shine gloss and a personally designed gown. And Abbot Elementary’s Sheryl Lee Randolph’s artistically lined lips were a showstopper.

Barbra Streisand—actor, singer, producer, writer, filmmaker, humanitarian—with SAG’s Life Achievement Award

Life Achievement

Jennifer Aniston (in her trendsetting lob) and Bradley Cooper honored legendary Barbra Streisand—actor, singer, producer, writer, filmmaker, humanitarian—with SAG’s Life Achievement Award. Streisand lit up the room with brilliance, humor, and gratitude. “I’ve loved working with you, playing with you, and inhabiting that magical world of the movies with you, and most of all, I want to thank you for giving me so much joy,” said Streisand. A standing ovation followed.

And we thank you all for being part of our world.
