Visionary Founder and Nurse Practitioner Natalia Guzman reveals the latest and most effective anti-aging technologies and go-to treatments for smooth, ageless skin.
When Natalia Guzman, FNP-C, CANS considered which treatments she wanted to offer at Atelier Aesthetix, her new med spa in Beverly Hills, California, she kept a guiding principle in mind: she’d only offer treatments she truly believed in.
Forget procedures with lots of buzz but no research-based results to back them up: to a pro with deep integrity like Guzman, belief is no abstract thing. She pores over the data around each procedure, examines its results up close, and considers whether it’s truly the right fit for her clientele.
Guzman has always brought this exceptional attention to detail to her work. She grew up in El Salvador and moved to the U.S. in 2004. Soon after her arrival, she began working with a distinguished plastic surgeon and uncovered her passion for aesthetics.

Today, she is on the pulse of the latest aesthetic technology, researching cutting edge treatments as they hit the market and developing personalized holistic plans for her patients. As a national trainer for Allergan, Revance, and Galderma, Guzman trains providers around the country in top injection techniques.
Of course, Guzman is also guided by another key inspiration: enhance, don’t erase. For her, it’s about working with each patient’s natural beauty, enhancing what they have rather than erasing the one-of-a-kind qualities that make each person special. And with her firsthand knowledge of the latest anti-aging tech, she’s perfectly poised to integrate top-of-the-line new treatments that are hard to find elsewhere.
As founder of Atelier Aesthetix, which opened in spring 2025, she’s changing clients’ lives every day. Guzman spoke with Beautytap about her approach to her work, solutions to the most common aging concerns, and the hottest anti-aging procedures on the market right now.

Did you always know you wanted to work in this field? When did you realize aesthetics were your passion?
I’ve always loved the intersection of medicine, beauty, and the human connection, but my passion for aesthetics didn’t truly ignite until 2006. That year, I was working alongside a renowned plastic surgeon here in Los Angeles. I watched patients walk into the office carrying the weight of insecurity or life transitions, and walk out radiant, lighter, more themselves. I remember thinking, this is powerful. Not just the treatments, but the emotional transformation. That’s when I knew: this was more than a job; this was a calling. I saw how aesthetics could be both healing and empowering. From that moment forward, I committed myself to learning everything I could—from the anatomy to the artistry to the evolving science behind it all.
Did you learn anything surprising during the process of launching Atelier Aesthetix and opening its doors?
Absolutely. No matter how much clinical experience or training you have, nothing quite prepares you for the emotional and personal journey of opening your own practice. Atelier Aesthetix is more than a space—it’s an extension of my heart, my values, and the patients I’ve had the privilege of caring for over the years. I poured my soul into every decision, from the treatment menu to the chairs in the lobby. What surprised me most was the outpouring of love from patients, colleagues, friends, many of whom have walked alongside me for years. I also learned how resilient I am. Starting a business isn’t easy. But every time a patient says, “I feel like myself again,” it’s a reminder that the leap was worth it.
Please share what the letters after your name mean - FNP-C, CANS.
FNP-C stands for Family Nurse Practitioner-Certified. This means I am a board-certified medical provider trained to assess, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan. It’s a rigorous credential that requires graduate-level training and national certification.
CANS stands for Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist. It’s a national certification that reflects years of hands-on experience, in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy, and a proven commitment to safety and ethical aesthetic practice. The exam is comprehensive and highly respected—there are only a limited number of CANS-certified injectors in the U.S. I pursued it because I believe that in aesthetics, credentials matter. My patients deserve to know they’re in expert hands.

You are revered for offering the newest and most advanced treatments at Atelier Aesthetix including Sylfirm X, Cool Firm, I Laser and more. Please share how they work and feel free to share others you’d like to highlight.
At Atelier Aesthetix, I’ve prioritized treatments that go beyond the surface. Everything we offer supports long-term skin health, collagen production, and regenerative results.
Sylfirm X is one of my favorites. It’s a dual-wave RF microneedling device that improves redness, pigmentation, skin laxity, and texture—while also supporting lifting and tightening. It’s ideal for rosacea, melasma, and aging skin.
CoolFirm combines radiofrequency and microneedling in a way that tightens, smooths, and rejuvenates the skin. It’s one of the most elegant ways to treat crepey texture, especially in areas like the neck and chest.
I-Laser is incredibly versatile—it includes modalities like I-Lift, I-Sculpt, and I-Cell. Whether we’re targeting stubborn fat, tightening loose skin, or boosting collagen, this platform allows us to tailor treatment to each patient’s needs.
We also specialize in biostimulatory treatments like Sculptra, EZ Gel, and advanced thread lifting, all of which work with your body to restore volume and skin density over time.
How did you determine which treatments you wanted to offer at Atelier Aesthetix, especially when it came to selecting the more cutting-edge procedures?
When I created the treatment menu, I asked myself one question: What do I believe in? Every device and procedure we offer has been carefully vetted by me. I’ve studied the data, tried it myself, and seen the outcomes firsthand.
I chose treatments that work in harmony with the body—not against it. I also wanted to offer solutions that supported graceful, long-term aging, rather than temporary fixes. Because of my national training work with Galderma, Allergan, and Revance, I stay ahead of the curve in understanding how new treatments perform in the real world. I’m constantly refining our offerings to reflect what is both safe and truly effective.

Which new procedures or treatments on the horizon are you particularly excited about?
I’m deeply excited about the future of regenerative aesthetics. Treatments that combine biostimulation, exosomes, and cellular healing are the next frontier. I’m also passionate about combination therapies that layer different technologies—like laser with threads, or biostimulators with microneedling—to create comprehensive, natural-looking results.
There’s also incredible innovation happening in the realm of collagen banking—starting patients early with protocols that preserve elasticity and dermal structure before visible aging sets in. I think we’re shifting from “anti-aging” to “longevity and preservation,” and that excites me.
Do you have any advice for those who aspire to work in aesthetics?
Yes: stay humble, stay hungry, and never stop learning. Aesthetics is not just about a pretty result—it’s about precision, anatomy, ethics, and long-term vision. It’s a field where artistry and science coexist, and you need to honor both. Surround yourself with mentors. Ask questions. Study the why, not just the how. And lead with care. Your patients are trusting you not just with their appearance, but with their self-image.
Is there any philosophy or mantra that guides your work?
Absolutely. Enhance, don’t erase. That’s my guiding principle.
I believe aesthetics should celebrate who you are—not make you look like someone else. My goal is always to reveal the best version of you, not a filtered version. I also practice with a deep commitment to honesty and care. Patients need someone who sees them, listens to them, and walks with them—not just someone who performs procedures.
Which aging concerns do your patients bring up most often, and which treatments do you recommend most for tackling those concerns?
The most common concerns are:
- Volume loss (especially in the midface)
- Skin laxity
- Uneven tone and texture
- A general feeling of looking “tired” or “deflated”
My go-to treatments are often biostimulatory injectables like Sculptra or EZ Gel, threads for lifting and structure, and Sylfirm X or I-Laser for texture and collagen support. Most importantly, I build treatment plans that address the skin from multiple angles—structure, tone, elasticity, and glow.

Do you suggest any preventative anti-aging treatments for younger clients who are just starting their anti-aging journeys?
Yes! Prevention is everything. For younger patients, I recommend:
- Neuromodulators (wrinkle relaxers) to prevent expression lines
- Microneedling or Sylfirm to boost collagen early
- High-quality skincare, especially SPF, antioxidants, and retinoids
I also emphasize education. I love teaching younger patients that small, consistent steps now can prevent more aggressive interventions later.
What type of treatment do you usually recommend for clients who are just starting to show the first major signs of aging and want to do their first treatment?
For patients in their 30s or early 40s noticing early signs like dullness, fine lines, or subtle laxity, I typically recommend:
- A collagen-stimulating injectable like Sculptra or EZ Gel
- A regenerative laser like Sylfirm X
- Skin boosters to restore hydration and elasticity
These treatments work beautifully to “rewind” the early signs of aging in a way that’s subtle and natural.
What treatments do you suggest for more mature clients, those who have more significant skin damage such as textural challenges, wrinkles, laxity?
With more mature patients, we take a multi-layered approach. That often includes:
- Sculptra or Radiesse for volume and skin density
- Thread lifts for repositioning and structure
- Combination laser treatments like Sylfirm X + CoolFirm to resurface and tighten
- Targeted filler for balance and support
It’s never one-size-fits-all. We create a roadmap that honors their goals while supporting true skin rejuvenation.

Are there any common misconceptions about anti-aging that people should be aware of?
Yes. The biggest one? That filler is the only solution—or that more filler means better results. True rejuvenation is about structure, collagen, and skin health.
Another myth is that you should wait until you see aging to treat it. In truth, preventative care leads to the most natural outcomes.
And finally, not all treatments are created equal. Results depend on the provider, their knowledge of anatomy, their technique, and their integrity.
What are your favorite skincare products that you recommend clients use at home between treatments? And which products do you suggest after laser and microneedling to help with healing?
My must-haves for at-home care:
- Daily SPF (non-negotiable)
- A high-potency antioxidant serum
- A gentle but effective retinoid or retinol
Post-treatment, I always recommend:
- Exosome serums to accelerate healing and reduce downtime
- Hyaluronic acid for hydration
- Growth factor-based serums to support recovery and stimulate skin renewal
Consistency with skincare is what maintains the investment in your in-office treatments.
What's the most important thing a client can do to ensure they recover smoothly after a procedure?
Trust your provider and follow the post-care instructions exactly. Your skin needs rest and protection to heal well. That means:
- Staying hydrated
- Avoiding sun exposure
- Keeping the skin clean and calm
- Reaching out if something feels off
Healing is part of the process, not an afterthought. When patients take it seriously, their results are better, more even, and longer lasting.
