I am a GenX'er and I have been a beauty and cosmetics junkie since the 1980s. I started wearing makeup to junior high in the era of blue eyeshadow, began high school with Dior Poison on my wrist, went off to college just as the grunge scene and Chanel Vamp were taking over the planet, and graduated out into a world of beauty that included then-new brands like Urban Decay, Stila, Hard Candy, NARS, and Bobbi Brown. I have watched a million trends - and brands - come and go. (RIP Bite Beauty, Vincent Longo, Marc Jacobs Cosmetics!) Now I'm at the age where I can finally afford that Dior eye palette and Chanel mascara without guilt. I still wear and love discovering 'new(er)' brands like Rare Beauty, Rhode, Bubble, Patrick Ta, LoveShackFancy, and Fenty - but have my favorites I will never leave like Guerlain, Comptoir Sud Pacifique, Clinique, and Givenchy. I am a former professional photographer / product reviewer for Professional Photographer Magazine but now that my kids are grown and college age I can spend my social media time for me doing what I love. And that's photographing and reviewing cosmetics and beauty items!
