I'm Karla and I'm 26 years old, I'm pretty new to this world we call Korean Skincare (Skincare in general really?), but I'm really enjoying my journey so far, I love to try new products and share my opinions with anyone who wants to listen.
I hope I can help other with the little knowledge I have, and to learn everything I can from e¿anyone who is willing to share their tips and tricks.
I was thinking that it would be really useful if the Community section had a “Save” option. Because this way if you find a post with a good tip or a recommendation (anything really) that you like this way when the community gets even bigger it will be easier to find it 🙂
I know this new part of the site is still in the works, but am I the only one that can\’t see their display picture in posts, and replies?
Here is a quick post about pH.
What is pH❓ pH is a scale used to measure acidity. The scale goes from 0 to 14; the smaller the number, the more acidic the substance. The greater the number the more basic or alkaline.
pH of a “healthy” skin is slightly acid (4.5-5.9) in order to defend itself against bacteria. Skin with acne normally has a pH between 7-8.
Washing our skin with a basic soap will leave it with a basic pH, favoring acne, irritations, and other skin problems.
🌸 Tip: After using an alkaline cleanser, it is advisable to use a toner with an acidic pH.
With an acidic cleanser, our skin will remain with an acid pH, allowing the growth of pathogenic organisms.
Does anyone know about a good emulsion for oily skin type 👀? I want one that doesn\’t leave the skin feeling sticky after applying it, and that absorbs fast.

This kind of container doesn’t cost much, they are easy to find (drugstore), they are easy to personalize, and some stores sell them with various designs, besides they are the perfect size for products that we normally don’t need a large amount of.[Read more]

My favorite K-beauty product and why.
To start the posting on my beauty wall I would like to talk about one of my favorites products: the \”TIA\’M My Signature C Source\”, used to be called \”O.S.T. C20\”. Nothing has changed other than that. The only thing that\’s changed is the name.
The main ingredient in the product is vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that can fade hyperpigmentation, increase photoprotection, and stimulate collagen production, a mildly exfoliating.
I love this product because it has vanished the hyperpigmentation in my cheeks. The only downside for me is that the Ascorbic Acid, or L-Ascorbic Acid, in this product, because of this the bottle has to be kept in the refr[Read more]
