Discover beauty through professional reviews
Hello and welcome to my profile! My name is Sharmaine and I love Korean skincare and makeup. I was introduced to Korean skincare in 2015 and have recently started a Youtube channel! My channel's main goal is to introduce and inspire those with darker complexions to not be afraid to step into the world of K-beauty, and to be a representative/voice for those with dark or tan skin in a field where our shades are not entirely included. But everyone is absolutely welcome! The more diverse, the better!

Does anyone know how to attain the different social levels? For example, how many points or followers do you need in order to reach Cushion Cutie? I can\’t find anything about it on the site besides the names of the levels.
Mini review on the Klairs Rich Moist Foaming Cleanser: It’s not a very big bottle so thankfully one pump is enough for the entire face! It is a rich, smooth foam that doesn’t over lather, so you don’t have to worry about choking on suds. It claims to not leave residue behind or over dry the skin, and it is true to its word. I think this makes a great morning cleanser because it’s very light and quick to rinse. Its smell kind of reminds me of pine trees? Or very light tea tree oil 🙂
Mini review on the Eclado Cell Phyto Anti Wrinkle Serum: This is a very light serum and absorbs fairly quick. It states that it helps fade acne scars and calms inflammation, and I have noticed a small disappearance in my recent scars. It has no fragrance 🙂 I would like to give this a little more time to see if my scars fade even more. I hold my warm palms on my face for 7 seconds in three sections, and it helps the serum absorb so well and not leave your face sticky 😍
Mini review on the SkinFood Gold Caviar Collagen Cream: I’ve been dying for a collagen cream to use especially on my neck and chest, so receiving this in the Time Machine box was perfect lol. I like how thick it is because then a little goes a long way. It has a fairly strong, musty perfume scent to it, but I honestly don’t mind it. My face definitely feels firm and moisturized so I am satisfied with the product 🙂 It says it’s a cream and does not specify it as a moisturizer, so I still apply a moisturizer afterward.
Mini review on the Hera Cell Essence: OMGGGG LOVE IT 😍 This essence is designed to be used first in your skin routine after cleansing and toning. It helped the rest of my serums and moisturizers absorb much quicker and you barely need any! I apply it with my palms (just my preferred method), and I noticed even my hands were smoother. There is no fragrance, so great for those with sensitivities 🙂
Mini review on the SanDaWha Intensive Eye Contour Cream: Easily my favorite eye cream! I could actual feel it firming my undereyes, and not in a ‘drying out’ way. I looked more awake and my eyes did appear brighter. It has a light, citrus scent that reminds me of orange fruit loops lol.. But I’m in love with this. The amount of product seems pretty low and the cream costs a decent amount as well, so I might save this cream for special events and occasions.
Mini review on the Etude House Soon Jung trial kit: AMAZING 😍 I love every piece! Immediate, satisfying hydration that my face has been craving. It’s completely fragrance free so if you have a sensitive nose, this is for you! I have oily/sensitive skin and have not yet experienced any weird reactions such as burning or redness. My other favorite part about this is that it leaves your face completely matte! So this is perfect for those with oily skin and for a morning routine.
Mini review on the Etude House Black Hydrogel Eye Patch: I love Hydrogel masks because of their ability to adhere well to the face. This eye patch was a little small, though, so I made slits at the outer corners of the eye holes. The mask itself didn’t have a lot of essence on it but had enough in the package to apply to my body. This isn’t something I would spend my money on again, though. I’ve had better results and more hydration with other products, and ended up still slathering on my eye cream.
Mini review on the Tiam 365 Trouble Drying Pink Bubble Pack: This was another foaming mask but luckily this time I was able to properly breathe lol. It started to foam up as soon as I touched it inside the jar, so I recommend using a spoon to scoop this product. Very easy to spread onto the face and wasn’t so thick that I felt the need apply unnecessary pressure to my face to disperse it. You can feel it bubble and pop on your face so it makes for a unique experience! I loved the results as well. My face looked clearer and redness was reduced around inflamed pimples. My face did burn when I applied the rest of my skincare products but I’m beginning to think it’s not a side effect of the mask[Read more]
Mini review on the Eclado Laboratory Gold Essential Mask: This is the most unique mask that I have tried so far. It has extra flaps for the eyes and lips so that those areas can also benefit from the mask. It is a gel mask and adhered to my face quite well. It has a light perfume scent and is anti-aging. What I like most about it is that is has a cooling effect on my skin and isn’t overly saturated in essence to the point where it runs down my neck, but had enough product left in the packaging to apply to the rest of my body. After leaving it on for 20 minutes, my face wasn’t left feeling sticky and my skin absorbed the essence quickly. My lips and eyes feel so hydrated! Definitely a top rec[Read more]
