Anyone who struggles with acne can tell you how difficult it is to find the right products. I have been dealing with cystic acne since I was 11 years old. All of my teen years were spent comparing my skin to everyone else and realizing that this made me feel really insecure. As I got older I tried so many things, products, dermatologist, endocrinologist, psychologist, prescriptions, pills, topicals, you name it, I did it. Then one day it hit me, I want to find the answers on my own. I want to be a resource to those who cannot find the answers, I want to have the answers. So I began my skin journey . I have been in the beauty industry for 18 years. I have been a licensed Esthetician for 12 years and a makeup artist for 16 years. I have been able to to help so many people by applying the science of chemistry with the biology of skin. I am constantly learning about what is new. I call myself a forever student of skin. There is always something new to learn and share to have great skin.

Pro Tip**🤩🤩🤩🤩 If making a mess at your bathroom sink has ever hindered you from proper face washing then try this! Place a towel right under your elbows on the sink counter, also instead of splashing water all over your face, use as soft cloth to wipe away product and residue until clean. Also, save your messy scrubs or masks for the shower! Be SWEET To your skin!
I have so many clients that are doing the double cleanse ALL WRONG!! Let\’s review so that your skin gets the benefit of a double cleanse starting with an oil cleanser. The point of the oil cleanser is to apply the oil directly to the skin WITHOUT WATER. This is key here. The oil will grab and breakdown makeup, environmental pollutants, and stubborn sunblocks. If your skin or hands are wet, the chemistry of the oil is then emulsion therefore loosing its benefits as an OIL CLEANSE. After massaging the oil around and around to break these layers down, then you add some water in order to activate the emulsification process which then draws these impurities away from the skin. One thing I always get asked in the treatment room is which order should I be applying my products? First consider, am I rinsing this off or leaving this on? Once you have the two separated look at what you are rinsing off. Precleansing oil or balm, Cleanser, Exfoliant, Mask. Then Consider What you are leaving on and also which time of day is it, morning or evening? So Morning is Cleanse, Hydrate from thinnest to thickest consistency (watery, gel, oil), then moisturize for eye and then for face and/ or SPF, Primer, Makeup foundation and/ or Makeup Powder. Then Evening would look like: Precleanse oil or balm, Cleanser, Exfoliant (2-3 times weekly unless recommended otherwise), Mask (1-4 times[Read more]
Precleansing,.. It is an effective step in my skin care routine. Although the idea of spreading oil on my already oily and acneic skin took some getting used to, I have to say the science backs up the method. Essentially here is how it works:
1. Oil Removes Oil
2. Great to prep skin for cleanser
3. Helps breakdown makeup, skincare and environmental pollutants from the day.
