What a beautiful serum. It has kept my skin looking healthy and glowing. My skin texture is so much better than it was before. I had issues with texture from dry skin and was very dull. This came into my life and never used something that works like this. Absolutely amazing. I have tried other serums before that have said it has done the same things and either irritated or didn t work. I love for them to make a travel size but it’s hand size to carry with travel the packaging is is great and like that the cover actually stays in and doesn’t break when I dropped the bottle several times their is no fragrance and never has problem with the formula. I am hoping to purchase other products from this line and cannot wait to see the results when I can in corporate them all together. Price wise it’s a little bit more then I usually buy serums but this a present to myself every few months

Kimono Yui is described as a “transparent floral,” and I find this to be an accurate descriptor. If you think of transparent as see-through, and opaque as cloudy, Kimono Yui is a clear scent that doesn’t linger and offers a brief glimpse of the fragrance notes before they fade away. In short, this floral provides a fresh wisp of scent that disappears quickly.🌸 Effectiveness: As with all the companion hand creams, Kimono Yui moisturizes my skin while also leaving a visible sheen behind. Take a look at your palms after applying it, and you’ll see that they catch the light the way a good highlighter does when applied to your cheekbones. There’s no greasy finish, and I haven’t needed to apply it more than twice a day, which is great for my “mature” skin.🌸 Scent: The cream reminds me of both roses and peonies without any sweet undertones. It smells more like a balanced bouquet of flowers than anything else in the collection. You won’t notice the scent after 10 minutes even if you really try. For me, that’s a good thing because I want hand cream to enhance how my skin looks and feels without drawing attention to itself.🌸 Packaging: Decorté’s packaging is elegant and understated. I’m a fan of the stand-up tubes, and I have decided to keep a few of these in our guest bathroom for friends to enjoy. If you’re attracted to delicate, feminine scents and want a body lotion that is both effective and lightly fragranced, then look no further than Kimono Yui from Decorté. I’ve had the deep honor of trying the entire collection and will easily use up every last drop of this delicate emulsion.🌸 Scent: The entire body lotion collection features a quadruple dose of rose extracts, and Kimono Yui has the added brightness of citrus upon first whiff. Unlike most fragranced body products, you won’t notice the scent of this lotion after it fully absorbs. It isn’t intended to attract attention to itself, but you’ll know that it’s there because your skin will feel cooler and look more glowy after application.🌸 Packaging: Even though the obi ribbon on the bottle looks strictly decorative, it gives the bottle stability, so you can safely squeeze out product even if your hands are slightly damp. It acts as a stabilizer for my hand, and I always seem to squeeze in the exact middle of the Decorté logo. Coincidence? I think not.🌸 Texture: I have serious tactile difficulty with sticky lotion, but that isn’t a problem with Kimono Yui. The lotion feels like an emulsion and absorbs quickly and completely. I rarely take the time to apply body lotion to my legs, but I enjoyed this one so much that I used it from the top of my shoulders all the way down to my heels.Closing Thought: I would be remiss not to mention that this is a “skin first, fragrance second” type of product. From soothing aloe vera to skin plumping hyaluronic acid, this lotion makes skin look, feel, and smell lovely.

Having the opportunity to try the entire Decorté collection has given me a deep appreciation for this J-beauty brand’s approach to fragrance. Kimono Yui, perhaps fittingly, has the most intimate sillage in the entire lineup. This is a fragrance entirely for the wearer, and unless you bathe in it, it will only be noticeable to others in very, very close quarters (think nuzzling).🌸 Scent: When first sprayed, the citrusy combination is bright and predominantly lemony (but not in a Lemon Pledge kind of way). As the fragrance settles, neroli replaces the lemon, and after 10 minutes of dry down, the cedarwood is all that lingers. I don’t really detect any vanilla here, just a subtle warm note on my skin.🌸 Where Would I Wear It: Because the early burst is so bright, this feels like a late spring/early summer fragrance. The burst of fruit up front has a refreshing nuance, and I particularly enjoy it early in the morning while my body temperature is slightly cooler. This could easily be a go-to fragrance for everyday wear, and I think this could win over even those who don’t consider themselves floral fans.🌸 Packaging: With its pink obi ribbon and feminine ribbed glass, Kimono Yui looks delicate and refined simultaneously. I especially adore the extra effort Decorté has taken to ensure that the obi ribbon arrives in perfect condition (each loop has a cylindrical piece of foam supporting its shape).Closing Thoughts: Even as a professional beauty writer, I rarely have a chance to try a complete collection of fragrances, and I am deeply thankful for this opportunity. As one of the most delicate offerings in the collection, Kimono Yui would make a delightful first EDT for a teenager and an equally impressive gift for a new mom. Simply delightful!
