In my experience to truly understand how products work for wavy to curly hair types it’s a good idea to do a deeper dive into the ingredients and their functions to see which truly work for curly hair. Cyclopentasiloxane coats the hair shaft to lock in moisture while remaining lightweight due to its quick evaporation and thin texture. This can mean less build-up overtime. Dimethicone is known for forming a barrier that smooths the cuticle making the hair appear shinier and frizz-free. It also works to prevent damage from heat styling however, long-term usage may not be suitable for all curly hair types, and it may dry out the cuticle. VP/ VA copolymer and PVP work to hold the curl in place by blocking the absorption of excess moisture. This can help increase overall volume. Guar Hydroxypropltrimonium Chloride reduces frizz, flyaways and helps to condition between strands. Polycrylamide also helps to hold style by blocking the ability to absorb moisture and Argan kernel oil deeply moisturizes. The cream gel itself has a watery like texture and a very little goes a long way. The PVP can cause a whiteish cast and if this happens it is suggested that you combine a leave-in conditioner with water to scrunch the hair upwards creating soft and moisturized curls. It works very well when used correctly on sopping wet hair that you allow to air dry and brings a healthy shine. If you have coily hairtypes (up to 5c) such as myself, you will definitely want to use this curl cream as a primer before you use your heavier creams.  For kinkier hair types, This product could also be great used as a refresher or curl activator after other product have been used.  This cream is a great applied on damp hair and immediately scrunched.  This cream is very concentrated, so about a quarter size of product is usually a great dosage to start with. If your looking for additional moisture, this cream is wonderful. This collection is better suited for wavy hair and softer/looser curl patterns. The packaging is beautiful, I am a sucker for great packaging and the products do have a nice fragrance. The instructions are very easy to follow and for those who are unsure how to style their waves it is a simple, 3-step process and great for wet styling.  The collection comes with a shampoo, conditioner and a curl cream. Again, follow the steps to ensure you get the style that works for you. Now I want to clarify that this product is not recommended for thick hair as noted. It is not going to perform for tighter curls or coils. Unfortunately you will be disappointed as the product contains a higher concentration of water and alcohol which is drying and will create more frizz.
