Hello! My name is Catherine and I’m an esthetician of five years and a coconut lover of probably 15 years. I must say I was very impressed with this body melt from Tipsy Coco! Being that it is coconut oil based I at first was expecting the product to leave a residue, but sure enough within about 15 minutes the product was completely soaked into my skin leaving it feeling nice and soft. I applied the product at night to both my face and my hands, my face is oily and my hands were particularly dry at the time and not much seemed to work. When I woke up I could tell there was a major difference in my hands and it had completely taken care of the dryness! As for my face it felt smoothed and hydrated so I would recommend this to anyone who is comfortable using retinol in their face and body routine!

So far theresky been one other brand ive tried that includes retinol in their body cream. I think the ingredient is skipped over a bit because of its side effects of irritation. However the Tipsy coco melt all over did not irritate my skin at all. It can feel a bit greasy to the coconut oil however it spreads easily and actually absorbs into your skin. One thing i noticed is how it keeps your skin hydrated all night and still soft in the morning. The jar is kind of small but it lasts a while. It has a lovely shredded coconut smell however i didnt notice it lingering on my skin which is fine by me. I would love to see another version of this as a body lotion so im not always digging my fingers into a jar. Otherwise a good product i hope more skincare brands include retinol in their body products.

Once you apply it, the balm melts into your skin. I feel my face and body immediately moisturised after applying. As it is very rich, a little goes a long way. It would be fully absorbed after 15 mins. I can sleep in it without feeling stickiness. I like to use it daily after shower. I feel my body nourished and the rough areas are smooth.
