I definitely fall into the oily category as I have an oily t-zone with the rest of my skin being mostly dry. I really like the consistency of this serum. It is truly lightweight and absorbs well into my skin. My skin feels hydrated and clean but not sticky after application. My pores can breathe. That's a true testament of how well a serum works for my skin. The scent of this serum is absolutely amazing. I really enjoy how lightweight this formula is. I’m more of a fan of serums that don’t leave your skin feeling sticky, and this did not leave my skin feeling that way at all. Plus it felt like my skin fully absorbed this serum fully. Now as someone with super dry skin, I also had to use this in combination with a moisturizer. If I used it by itself, my eczema patches were more noticeable in the morning, which I think means this is a great product for people with more oily skin (and it does tout itself as being a sebum/oil balancing serum). I do have combination skin, and saw a difference in my more oily areas (my t zone). 

As someone who has been in the beauty retail industry for over six years, I’m always looking to broaden my knowledge about products that I can suggest to customers who are looking for something specific. This is great for people with more oily skin who are also looking for something with tea tree oil to treat their acne, while also being non comedogenic. 

This product is getting a star removed since the packaging could be considered confusing to some customers. The bottle says this product is oil free, but there are multiple essential oils listed on the ingredients list (make sure to check it if you have sensitivities). The brand at least is up front about this on both their website and packaging, and this serum does NOT contain petroleum (which is why they used the term ‘oil free’). This is a reminder of how important it is to read ingredients lists, especially if you have a sensitivity to certain essential oils that you need to avoid.
