Thanks to Butter London, I have learned that it’s quite harmful to attempt cutting cuticles (since this can lead to potential infection if people aren’t careful). It’s even safer to do this at home, so what better way than performing an at home manicure? 

This fantastic product makes taking care of cuticles way easier! It only takes two minutes. Application is super easy, it comes with a brush, and the handle is rashes so you can get a better grip of the applicator. This is a super easy to use product for anyone just starting out in nail care, even at home. You definitely don’t have to be a pro to use this! It is important not to use water when removing the product after the two minutes. Butter London instead suggests a dry paper towel (this was the route I tried and it was easy to remove), or even using acetone if you feel a dry cloth didn’t remove it enough on its own. Unlike a lot of nail products on the market, I couldn’t smell anything with this one. Lastly the reason why I deducted a star is because I didn’t see a huge difference with my cuticles personally. But that is because mine were pretty short to start with. It did also help with the appearance of dead skin along the side of the nails though. Adding some cuticle oil after application is also my suggestion since it makes the cuticles even easier to push back after this exfoliator step.

The Butter London Melt Away Cuticle Exfoliator is the first product of its kind that I found was very gentle on my skin but also delivered on what it was made to do. I always have a hard time keeping my cuticles looking healthy and maintained. I have tried other exfoliators that were either too harsh or didn't help remove the cuticle. This product reminds me of a thinner oil texture, glides on easily and within two minutes the cuticle is softened. After two minutes I was able to easily push my cuticles back and wipe away the excess skin I was quite shocked to be honest. The natural, plant-based ingredient Chondrus Crispus extract allows you to have healthy cuticles without harsh ingredients.
