I was happy to have the opportunity to review the Double Take Foundation by Laura Geller.I have been really loving this foundation ! First thing is I can sometimes have problems with finding a good shade match for a pale chick like myself. Laura’s foundation fit really well with my skin and didn’t oxidize weird.The “wand” packaging is super convenient for on the go or speedy application. I apply with the wand and blend out with a sponge or brush. The formula actually blends out really well, even after placing first.I like the way this foundation looks. You get good coverage but it is not to thick— it still has a natural look. For extra coverage you can build up, or even use a bit of powder foundation.

Laura Gellar Double Take Liquid Foundation is one of those products that can make or break your makeup look. I should know; I've been a makeup artist for 21 years. In 21 years I have tried and tested many foundations, and, in truth, only a few have made it into my makeup kit. After a month of testing, I concluded that I would add the Laura Gellar Foundation to my wedding kit, and here's why.The foundation comes in beautiful glass packaging with a drip-free doe foot applicator. The applicator allows for targeted coverage of blemishes, dark spots, and in a pinch, can even cover dark circles around the eyes. I love applying an oil before the foundation for a finish that will glow all day. The only drawback ... I like to keep my kit as light as possible, and the heavy glass packaging won't do.

As a woman of color finding my shade in foundation with certain brands is a struggle. Most brands do not have a very wide range of color which is the issue I find with this brand. HOWEVER, the deepest shade matched my skin. I did not have high expectations when it came to matching my skin. I was pleasantly surprised that it matched me, but that does not solve the issue of women darker than me not having a shade. Aside from that I really like this foundation. It blends out nicely with medium to full coverage. I tend to lean more towards full coverage so I like the build it up. It doesn't feel heavy on skin at all and it feels breathable. Having a foundation that doesn't feel like it's clogging your pores is super important. Especially, if you have oily skin like me. In my beauty experience I believe all skin types can use this makeup and I would definitely recommend it to someone who's a beginner at makeup.
