I’m erika, I’ve been with Beautytap for a little over a year now. I have been a cosmetologist for 10+ years now, and I’ve been afforded the opportunity to try out a lot of products. One of my favorite parts about being an expert with beautytap is getting to try products I wouldn’t have otherwise had the chance to! Pharmagel is all new to me and I’m glad to have gotten to try a trio of products, the exfoliator, cleanser and moisturizer. This moisturizer had a light baby powder scent, and was creamy. It wasn’t hydrating enough for me, and didn’t seem to absorb nicely under makeup for me personally. It was nice to use at night as it has retinol, but I need a bit more moisture and spf for daytime use. I'm literally always on the hunt for the most rich and moisturizing moisturizer as I have combo/dry skin, and this moisturizer is decent, especially for the price. I've tried very high end moisturizers and also inexpensive drug store moisturizers and my skin prefers good quality, price doesn't always equate to a product being amazing. This moisturizer gets a 5-6/10. I do love that it is a balmy cream, but in order for me to feel as though I get all the lasting moisture I need, I layer with an oil, which I'm totally fine with as I usually layer my products anyway. The scent is fresh, and although some people don't prefer fragrance in their product I prefer a nice aroma as it enhances the experience for me. I've tried this in the morning and at night and I think this is a good moisturizer for someone new to exploring skincare. The fact that this contains retinol and vitamins is great as it nourishes the skin and helps prevent signs of aging. Also, for the price you won't find too many products that have quality ingredients, so in that aspect thus moisturizer is a winner. The DN Hydra creme with Retinol helps your skin look younger . The vitamin A helps your skin appear more toned and it seems to help with the fine lines . It goes on nice and creamy but the smell again is not very appealing . I didn’t really notice much difference in my skin .,maybe a little . I would call it Mediocre I wouldn’t really refer it to someone or recommend for a salon to use it on the back at or retail it . Yes, if your a professional you can buy it easily from a professional Beaty supply but it’s just not very good . I guess if your in a bind and need something at the last minute or something along those lines , yes but otherwise the smell is awful and the performance is blah !
