I’m erika, I’ve been with Beautytap for a little over a year now. I have been a cosmetologist for 10+ years now, and I’ve been afforded the opportunity to try out a lot of products. One of my favorite parts about being an expert with beautytap is getting to try products I wouldn’t have otherwise had the chance to! This pharmagel cleanser is new to me, and I did enjoy using it. It was very gentle on my sensitive skin, didn’t break me out or irritate my eyes, which is common for me. My skin didnt feelc squeaky clean, but cleansed and soothed. I did have to double cleanse with it, as I didnt feel like it got everything out of my skin on the first wash. After a few uses I noticed my skin liked it more and more, and it’s been my daily face wash. I am very picky when it comes to cleansers. I have combo/dry skin and most cleansers are either too harsh or don't give a deep enough cleanse, but this cleanser is balanced and effective at cleansing just right. I love that this is a gel to cream foam cleanser that lathers nicely but is non stripping. My skin feels soft and clean after washing, not tight and dry or as if I still have residue on my skin. It is enriched with vitamin B, lactic acid and Aloe Vera Leaf Juice which together nourish, gently exfoliate and hydrate your skin which is exactly what you want your cleanser to do. It is a generous size for the price and you only need about a dime size amount for each wash. I prefer to use this cleanser in the morning as it is gentle, but it also works great in the evenings. If you wear makeup I would recommend using a cleanser that removes makeup first and use this as step 2 in the double cleanse. It has a nice clean aroma which I don't mind at all as I actually prefer a little scent in my cleansers for the experience. I don't tend to have sensitive skin, though I still have reactions to certain products; I've been using this cleanser for the past 2 weeks and haven't had any negative reactions to it. I’ve been in the skin and hair business for over 35 years and I’ve tried all kinds of different products but I just didn’t feel like this product was anything special. It is mild and it is light and it doesn’t leave a residue but the smell is not very desirable and I really didn’t see that much difference in my skin it was OK as far as cleansing but there’s just no real attributes to it it’s very generic like if you needed some thing to use as a back bar in our skin care business however I wouldn’t really choose this cleanser it’s very plain . Although it does contain oat extract and aloe vera it’s still seem to dry my skin out a little bit so in the big picture now I wouldn’t recommend this cleanser. However I guess if you’re on a budget and you need to get some cleanser that is in bulk and you can buy it through the beauty supply for professionals you could use it but I wouldn’t really recommend it for any kind of problem skin or ultimately dry skin because it didn’t really do much of anything. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**
