I'm a licensed aesthetician and laser technician who works in dermatology. I was excited to try the Plated Calm Serum post Halo Laser (Fractional Ablative/NonAblative). In the past, post treatment, I've used only DML lotion however, I saw a significant difference by using the Calm Serum. The Calm Serum expedited my healing process and really pulled the MENDS (Microscopic Epidermal Necrotic Debris) out much quicker than without using it. I liked the feeling of serum as it was super cooling and felt like it was putting out the fire on my face. This was the first product I've used post ablative laser that had a cooling sensation. My go to is typically the Skinceuticals Biocellulose Mask but I think I will be replacing it with the Plated Calm Serum. I now want to try the daily serum as well as the hair growth serum by Plated since I liked the Calm serum so much.

I was happy to have the opportunity to learn about Plated and try out the Calm Serum.The plated Calm serum is perfect for use after a deeper treatment or exfoliation. The serum helps to sooth, calm, and protect the skin as it renews and heals post-procedure. This serum contains the special renewosome technology that helps the skin to restore itself. Calm is a thicker, gel- like serum but it absorbs very nicely into the skin. I like that it is made specifically for sensitive skin. It has a menthol-cooling sensation upon application. I liked the cooling sensation and feel that post peel clients would appreciate this feature. Overall this was a nice product that helped reduce redness and inflammation associated with deeper levels of exfoliation

I decided to do a chemical peel series for my client this is week 5 results. Her skin is always inflamed and always has a very warm feel to her skin, but after week three the heat really dissipated for her skin and with her using the serum you could tell that her skin is a lot more calm and restores a lot quicker after each peel. After the pill series I will give her skin a break and move into a more aggressive treatment but so far we are both loving the results she can walk around confidently without any makeup and wear her serum underneath her SPF and be just fine. I had my client using this serum three times a day but admittedly she has only been able to commit to using it twice a day and we are still both please with how things are coming along. I know when I move her into using her into using the CALM series of pleated serum we can achieve even better results so I’m excited to see what the future holds for her.
