Hi everyone! From the moment I became a cosmetologist, I have been super intrigued with skincare and finding new product that works for me to be able to share with friends, family, and clients. I was beyond excited to be able to try out MACRENE ACTIVES Skin + Earth : High Performance Face Serum. This is the first serum I try that is this thick and I did not like it all. It’s also extremely strange to me that this serum isn’t applied to the skin until after you’ve applied the cream. Like the cream, this serum was not great on my skin because it left a white cast as soon as I started applying it and I had to really blend it into my skin to get rid of it. It also started peeling on me while massaging it into my skin which really made it more unpleasant for me. I believe the serum also made me break out and did not go well on my skin.

As a beauty enthusiast with blemish prone skin I’ve tried many serums and nothing compares to Macrene Actives High Performance Face Serum. It’s made with 50 plant derived actives to naturally firm and hydrate the skin. When reading the directions it says to apply the serum after the face cream which threw me off since it’s typically the other way around but after feeling the texture of the serum I can see why this would go on last. At first it has a thicker consistency but as I massage it into the skin it warms up and becomes very transparent to more of a liquid, almost like it’s melting into the skin. I will say it looks similar to when your applying sunscreen it has kind of a white cast but if you add a little pressure and kind of push it into the skin it absorbs nicely. It pairs beautifully with the face cream to lock in moisture and your getting over 100 active ingredients combined. Immediately after using the serum my skin looks brighter and visibly plumper it leaves my skin soft and hydrated throughout the day without clogging my pores. After a few weeks of use I’ve noticed my smile lines and the fine lines on my forehead are less prominent. I’m convinced this non acnegenic formula will help to revitalize my complexion over time.
