As a professional makeup artist in the entertainment industry, I love testing out new products that I can use myself as well as use in my kit on set and recommend to my clients. This was a very special and exciting product line that I was able to give to my husband to test, so the below review is based on his experience with the product. It's a unique product. Personally my beard was too short to really see the full effects, however the texture and feel on the skin was nice. Probably longer beards will benefit from this much more. For shorter beards it should have some additional properties to also cleanse the skin underneath. It is nice to see a "male brand" (yes it can be used by all genders) to have a strong focus on clean sustainable beauty. As far as I can tell TCM does not test on animals. The bottles have the leaping bunny logo on them. They don't test on animals, however it isn't clarified if their suppliers or any third-parties do. They also don't specify if they sell their products where animal testing is required by law (China).

Some thoughts on the brand: I don’t love the overly gendered tone and name. Most beauty products can be used by any gender; it’s all a matter of personal preference and needs. That being said, this particular product is, of course, aimed towards people with facial hair. I gave this Beard Wash to my husband to test out so I could get his feedback and observe the results. As a licensed esthetician and product reviewer, I evaluated the product itself (somewhat unique with a nice foaming lather) and my husband’s beard after using (much softer, healthier appearance.) My husband’s feedback was that it smells nice and feels nice, and we’re in agreement there. Surprisingly, my husband who barely has any self-care routine to speak of has taken to using this beard wash daily.

A beard wash!!! YES - YES - YES!!! This is needed for so many of our incredible men. Using a few pumps of this beard wash can truly cleanse the hair and the skin of the face and neck to create a wonderful smell and soft kissable facial hair. I love this product.
