As a professional makeup artist in the entertainment industry, I love testing out new products that I can use myself as well as use in my kit on set and recommend to my clients. This was a very special and exciting product line that I was able to give to my husband to test, so the below review is based on his experience with the product. The texture and smell was nice. I like that it is sulfate free as many "men's" shampoos don't focus on ingredients very much. The shampoo cleaned the hair thoroughly without leaving the scalp dried out and itchy. The hair looks and feels healthy and moisturized.It is nice to see a "male brand" (yes it can be used by all genders) to have a strong focus on clean sustainable beauty. As far as I can tell TCM does not test on animals. The bottles have the leaping bunny logo on them. They don't test on animals, however it isn't clarified if their suppliers or any third-parties do. They also don't specify if they sell their products where animal testing is required by law (China).

Some thoughts on the brand: I don’t love the overly gendered tone and name. Most beauty products can be used by any gender; it’s all a matter of personal preference and needs. That being said, I handed this particular product over to my husband when it arrived since my hair has different needs than what this provides. My husband is a loyal Head &amp; Shoulders user; he started using it when he was younger and has stuck with it out of ease and familiarity. This was his first “fancy” shampoo. And he loves it. He’s been wearing his hair a bit longer these days, and this shampoo leaves it softer and shinier than it has ever been. The tea tree oil has really been helping to keep his scalp clean too and he hasn't had any issues with dryness or flakiness.

Thank you again. This product line was created for our men who do so much for their woman and their families. They can feel well cared for and promote positive self-images with a hair care line specially designed for them. Mancode 101 sincerely works so great. Removing build-up while restoring shine and softness to any hair type, I recommend using this as often as you need or want. It will not over strip the hair of moisture. It has just the right ingredients to promote healthy, beautiful hair. If you skip days between shampoos, I would recommend a double cleanse. That is when you shampoo once, work up a lather, rinse partially, then reapply shampoo to create a very cleansed feeling in all areas of the scalp and hair. Rinse well, and viola!!!
