These super easy BLACKPINK hair lewks are gonna take your style to the next level, courtesy of the queens of K-pop.
Every few months, I get the urge to really start trying new things with my hair. I’m obviously a huge skincare and makeup person, BUT when it comes to my hair, I tend to get stuck in ruts. Currently, I’m either wearing it down or in a bun. BORING.
So I took to Instagram and my girls Rosé, Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa (aka the goddesses of BLACKPINK) to get some much needed hair inspo. Check out my finds!
1. Change your look with some accessories
Jennie got the memo that sometimes we don’t have to do anything drastic to our hair. We can simply add a super cute accessory (in this case, a flirty yellow headband) to make it look like we’ve spent hours on our look. The little flick of black liner is optional.

Take a cue from Rosé and use something as simple as two silver bobby pins to add a bit of style to your look. Give your hair a deep part to whatever side suits you best (mine is to the left), and simply add two bobby pins to that side.
2. Half-up, half-down
One of my favorite hairstyles for summer is a half-up, half down moment. You get your hair out of your sweaty face, but you still get a little hair-grazing-your-shoulder vibe. Apparently the girls from BLACKPINK also got the idea.
During the band’s recent holiday, Lisa decided to embrace a laid back half-updo. You can use your curling wand to create her signature beachy waves.

Jisoo also embraced the girly half-up, half-down look, but took a little piece of her hair and wrapped it around her top pony. This trick gives your pony a bit of height and volume without the extra hair accessories.

3. Braid it up
Is there anything more quintessentially summer than a long, messy braid? I don’t think so.
Take a note from Rosé’s casual airport look. Her hair is swept back (with some bangs hanging to frame her face) and braided into an asymmetrical braid. Instead of braiding it all the way down, use a hair tie about one-third of the way up and fluff out the braid to get more volume and dimension.

You can also embrace serious ’90s vibes like Jennie. Wear your hair down but keep those wispy parts out of your face by parting your hair down the middle and braiding the two front pieces — just make sure they are thin pieces!

Lisa has gotten the memo that French braids are definitely still in. If your hair isn’t long enough to get the down-the-back braided look, simply braid in temporary extensions.
