I’m erika, I’ve been with Beautytap for close to 2 years. I have been a cosmetologist for 10+ years now, and I’ve been afforded the opportunity to try out a lot of products. One of my favorite parts about being an expert with beautytap is getting to try products I wouldn’t have otherwise had the chance to! Beautytap has been an incredible blessing in my life and I’m thrilled to share my experiences with others!I liked how light weight this gel moisturizer was, but I didn’t find it to hydrated my skin enough. I have dry Acne prone skin, and I didn’t find this to be enough to wear under make up without having to add an extra layer of moisture. It didn’t sit well under makeup for me, and it isn’t something I can reach for and rely on. It’s better for people who need less moisture.

I have combination, sensitive and acne-prone skin and this lightweight formula caters well to my complicated skin. Cica does a great job healing acne and it also reduced the redness on my cheeks. Caterpillar Mushroom assists skin elasticity and my skin felt plump and moisturized. The formula moisturizes the skin without leaving your skin feeling greasy. The moisture level in this formula absorbed my fine lines and wrinkles. I have been a licensed esthetician/certified medical esthetician for 7 years, and during this time I have become quite knowledgeable about moisturizers. I have a few favorites for the treatment room and I also have a few go-to staples for my own personal use.The Balancing Act Moisturizer from CLE Cosmetics is a pretty decent moisturizer for those who have normal to moderately dry skin. My skin tends to get very dry— especially during the winter months in NY, and unfortunately this moisturizer did not quite moisturize my skin enough. During my application the moisturizer felt nice and thick, like it would definitely be enough for my skin, but by the time I went to apply my foundation, my skin felt dry again, and my foundation went on cakey.However, I do love this moisturizer for someone who is normal to moderately dry. I also love that it is fragrance-free and non-irritating, which could also make it great for those with inflammatory skin conditions such as mild rosacea or acne
