I own a cosmetics brand, Beauty by Bela, and am constantly reviewing beauty products to understand what makes a great one. I've used cover girl since my love for makeup began, so I was very excited to be sent this foundation. The color I chose was a little off, but I made it work!

I love that this product is true to it's name and is full coverage. It's nice because it's not too full coverage where it's cakey, but is definitely buildable and layers well with other products. Personally, my skin is very dry and I loved that this didn't have a matte finish. I love that this has SPF in it, as well! The finish is kinda dewy - however, it lasted on my skin for a while before becoming too oily. As a Pro Makeup Artist, a product junkie and lover of all things skin, I was super interested in trying the Covergirl Outlast Extreme Wear 3-in-1 Full Coverage Liquid Foundation after hearing details about this and the Covergirl Company as a whole. I definitely love to use professional products on my clients, but love to know about more affordable options to recommend to clients to use daily on themselves. This foundation is medium to full coverage with a very matte finish. It was simple to apply and gave time to blend before drying down. I am lover of the blender sponge, I tried it both with a beauty blender sponge and a foundation brush. I preferred the brush as the sponge tends to re-pick up the product. Overall wear once it was on was good! It wore all day without looking greasy, but did pull some patchiness in dry areas even though my skin was prepped and hydrated. I typically don't prefer foundations with spf, as they don't necessarily give any protection over time and are an added ingredient for no reason. SPF can also sometimes cause the foundation to oxidize one on the skin and look lighter in photos as well. Due to the matte finish, I wouldn't recommend this to someone with dry or textured skin, but for oily, normal or combo skin, this would be great, affordable foundation to try! **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**

Multitasking foundations are everyone’s favorite, including mine. For myself and my clients, I like to use something that layers well with skincare, wears well throughout the day, and does not settle in fine lines and wrinkles. This foundation did layer well with my other skin care products, and wore for about 10 hours before I saw any visible shine popping through. I do not use a primer underneath this, just every day moisturizer. I set with a fine layer of powder where needed. The coverage was medium and buildable, and it was best wore with one layer of foundation, and then going in with the concealer to add coverage where needed. The added sunscreen is kind of a missed benefit for me, as it not going to replace the need for spf 30+ Reapplied multiple times through out the day.
