I knew when I saw an ad for this product that it was something I wanted to try. I’m a 27 year old Caucasian female that lives in the Midwest. I have type 2c platinum blonde hair that cascades down my back and terminates right around mid thigh. I’ve been growing my hair out for 8 years now! So maintaining its health and keeping it free of damage and buildup has always been a top concern of mine! I’d say I have moderate damage from coloring and heat tools, especially on my midlengths and split ends. I was initially drawn to this product by its “no pore clogging” claims. Product and environmental buildup weighs my hair down and disrupts my curl pattern so I was excited to see if these claims were true, and I’m glad to say I wasn’t disappointed! I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner together for the last month and half and I’ve been thoroughly impressed by the results! My hair is silky, shiny, smooth, and less frizzy than it’s ever been with any other product line. It responds much better to both regular and heat styling now as well! I believe this is due to all the buildup being removed from my hairs shafts and follicles. I used to experience dry and itchy scalp symptoms on a regular basis as well but I honestly don’t have that problem anymore! I used to think I had light dandruff but now I realize that was literally product build up coming off in small pieces, which is gross when you think about it. Overall, I'm super happy with the results I’ve gotten from this line and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to using regular drug store or luxury brand shampoo again. All the phalates, silicones, sulfates, and unnecessary “conditioning” agents in those product lines were terrible for hair. I finally feel like I’ve found a product that not only cleanses and conditions my hair well - but also improves and supports my hair’s natural health with every wash. I highly, highly recommend this product line!!

As a nine year verified beauty expert with dry, color-treated hair I appreciate this shampoo with botanicals and soothing ingredients to penetrate into the hair shaft and cleanse and hydrate from the inside out. It has a herbal, earthy scent and is a creamy consistency. It quickly foams up with water and cleanses the scalp. You can almost feel the scalp tingling as it almost like woken up and given attention. It has a moisturising consistency and gives your hair and scalp refreshed and deeply hydrated. It feels fresh and smells clean. I have dry hair and It was fantastic for my hair, but I imagine it is great for all hair types, in that is deeply cleanses and refreshes the hair and scalp. I also appreciate the no pore clogging ingredients that are often prevalent in products and I am a fan of this line, but I can be assured of that!

My name is Lacey, I’m a hairstylist with 18 years of experience, and I recently had the pleasure of trying out Clearstem’s Restorative Shampoo. Although this product is geared towards targeting acne-prone scalps and hairlines, it’s also formulated to address many other scalp issues. In my case, I wanted to try this to address my occasional, yet extremely itchy scalp.This shampoo is sulfate-free, has a light and pleasant minty-sweet smell that I love, and it’s made with botanical ingredients. It’s super concentrated, so a little goes a long way, and you get a good-sized amount in one bottle. Even with my long, thick hair, I was able to get a nice rich lather using only about a half-dollar amount. It’s safe for colored hair and can be used on all hair types. Clearstem does say that this is supposed to be a hydrating shampoo, and hydration was the one thing I was lacking with this product. After the first use, I felt like my scalp was squeaky clean and provided me an instant, soothing sensation that did relieve my super discomforting itchiness. On the other hand, I noticed my hair felt almost tangled after I fully rinsed out and was definitely lacking hydration. Even after being paired with the conditioner, &amp; dried, I would say this acts more like a clarifying product for me, which I wasn’t mad at, just did not experience the hydration.Clearstem obviously created this product to address scalp related issues, unclog pores and leave your hair feeling fresh - all things I experienced after using. And although its clarifying qualities aren’t mentioned, this really seemed to “reset” both my hair and scalp - as it removes buildup from other products easily and effectively.This shampoo is obviously intended to be used for a specific purpose or as a treatment- to solve scalp issues… and it definitely served that purpose for me. Even though I wouldn’t be able to use this on a daily basis because it lacks hydration, I don’t have everyday scalp issues. When I need it, it works.I would rate this 5 stars if I based it solely on its ability to relieve my insanely itchy scalp - which is something that was literally driving me insane. Because it claims to be hydrating and that I did not experience, I’d have to deduct a star, leaving it as a 4-star recommended product. In fact, I’ve already started recommending this product to several people I’ve seen on my social media hair chat groups.If you’re experiencing any scalp issues, this product is definitely worth giving a try.
