Skincare is a key part of my daily routine in maintaining clear skin. I have my favorite products but still love to try new treatments on the market that have amazing ingredients in them. As a Sales & Training Manager in NYC with 10+years’ experience I make it my mission to be proactive about my skincare. I normally do a facial treatment once a week. When I worked for a KP beauty brand as a Sales & Training Executive I would create skincare regimens for my clients inside Ulta Beauty. Many clients wanted to know how to create a routine and when they should do a mask, exfoliations, or double cleanse. The Swiss Line Cell Shock White Brightening Aura Mask by Derma Lab is marketed as a product to aid in pore reduction, brightening your complexion and gives an instant glow. The mask is infused with Diglucosyl Gallic Acid which “targets to obtain better skin uniformity, specifically, reduction of spots, redness, and blotchiness. It works in conjunction with the skin’s own microbiome and is very well tolerated by sensitive skins” and “glycolic acid + activators 5% pure glycolic acid in combination with natural AHA boosters – sugar cane, maple sugar, bisabolol and extract of blueberries - promote safe skin renewal with an extra touch of smoothness and hydration” (Swiss Line). This product is advised to be used after you cleanse your face once to twice a week and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. I used the Swiss Line Cell Shock White Brightening Aura Mask as part of my nighttime routine. I cleansed my face and applied a thin layer of the mask in a circular motion. The lightweight consistency of the product was nice, but the scent of the product was too strong for my nose. The product has a strong perfume scent that irritated my skin. My skin did feel smooth after I rinsed the mask off, but the perfume scent was too strong for me. This product would be best for anyone who is not sensitive to products that are highly fragrant.

As a professional hair stylist and skin care advocate, I am always searching for the best products that deliver professional quality results while quarantined at home. I used the mask for a total of six treatments before I saw remarkable results. I almost believed that the mask wasn’t working but decided to keep applying the product twice a week for 15min sessions as per directed on the information packet from Swiss Line by Dermaline. 	The Swiss Line Brightening Aura Mask has a very sheeny opal color with a lightweight texture. The scent is a little strong with a hint of perfume smell to it. That is my only quarrel with the product. I am highly sensitive to smells. I wished that the product could be scented lighter or fragrance free. The Swiss Line Brightening Aura Mask does tingle/burn slightly on the face, however there was no irritation or lasting redness after removal. My face just looked young and radiant by the sixth application. I was really impressed. My freckles even look like they have lightened as well, and usually by now they are popping out like crazy with the arrival of spring/summer. The line is designed to work through innovative scientific technology and ingredients that mimic the cellular biology of the skin. The Swiss Line empowers by giving the user the intelligent choice into skin care. Overall: A five star brightening mask that provides visible and measurable radiance to all skin types looking to bring youthful exuberance and unparalleled evenness to their skin!

Get ready to be the unicorn you’ve always wanted to be. That sounds like hyperbole, but I’ve had more fun – and seen more results – from the Cell Shock White Brightening Aura Mask than any wash-off mask I’ve ever used. And that’s saying a lot since I write about skincare professionally 250 days a year. 💝 Improves Texture and Tone: As a K-beauty fan, I love active ingredients, especially acids, so my exfoliator of choice is usually chemical. Applying an abrasive scrub is a no-no when you use Retin A (yes, I’m 55) so the combination of 5% glycolic acid as well as fruit acids and diglucosyl gallic acid (a brightening ingredient that works synergistically with your skin’s microbiome to inhibit melanin production) had me panting. The creamy, pearlescent mask is very gentle. It tingles slightly for the first few minutes, but I never needed to rinse it off early due to discomfort. 💝 Intriguing Cooling Sensation: When applied to freshly cleansed skin, I immediately noticed that my skin felt cooler. At first I thought it was just a coincidence, but I think the mask is actually decreasing inflammation. Since I exercise in the morning, I decided to use this after returning from the gym. And each time I did, my skin felt refreshed AND looked brighter and more even. The glow lasted several hours, so if you want to really see the benefits, use it during the day. 💝 Results in 10 Minutes: As a general rule, I’m a sheet mask girl because I can wear them at my desk while I’m writing (often about them). Wash-offs slow me down, so I wasn’t sure I’d find time to use this one on a weekly basis. Turns out, using the mask as part of my post-workout routine was exactly what my skin was craving. 💝 #Skincaretainment at its Best: Remember the unicorn effect I mentioned? I tried desperately to capture the kaleidoscope of colors in this pretty gel-cream but failed at every turn. Straight out of the tube, it looks pinkish purple and smells like the most luxurious spa I’ve ever visited. I honestly hoped the UPS/DHL/FedEx delivery person would ring our doorbell, so I could answer it and watch the reaction. Alas, it never happened, but I sure felt fancy and unique while it worked its magic. Closing Thoughts: This is a gorgeous product, but since it costs $200+, I will reserve this for special occasions or for a once-a-month self-care treat. I estimate that I’ll get at least 10 uses out of the tube, which puts a single use on par with some of my beloved Sulwhasoo masks.
